He's 28 years old, and he was the Falcons starting left guard. He has started for 3 different teams. Does anybody know anything about him? Is he good? Re: What about Matt Lehr?
Well he's from the area. Woodbridge I think. He was suspended last year for violating the substance abuse policy
|
Re: What about Matt Lehr?
A quick looksie and I could find nothing along the lines of scouting for him. Scouts has him graded at a 40 which seems way low for a guy who has started so muh. I wonder how much that had to do with the suspension and not playing?

If he plays for Atlanta, there's always a good chance he played at VT. |
Re: What about Matt Lehr?
He sounds like a scrub to me.

Re: What about Matt Lehr?
Maybe a backup OL for vet minimum and I would like it.

Re: What about Matt Lehr?
As a Skins fan in Atlanta who was subjected to lots of Falcons coverage, I can say that Lehr and most of their O-line were worthless last season. If we could get him for the minimum, maybe. But the Falcons offensive line was just that when it came to protecting Vick - offensive.

How enthusiastic are they in protecting Vick? |

Good question. The guys on the Falcons' offensive line probably aren't the biggest Vick fans, but you'd hope that as professionals, they'd want to do their jobs. That said, the local sports radio guys say their O-line was the worst in the league. |
Re: What about Matt Lehr?
he looks like a pothead burnout

Re: What about Matt Lehr?
Atlanta has had the best rushing offense (yards/game) three years in a row. The o-line must be doing something right. As far as pass protection goes, it probably has more to do with Vick than anything else.
Lehr started 26 games over the past two years with ATL, so he must have had something to do with the rushing production. Sounds like a decent run blocker to me. |
