Favorite Gangster.
I was just thinking about this one. Now, keep in mind favorite gangster and favorite gangster movie are two different things.
Okay here's the list I came up with. Please feel free to add if I left someone out. Robert DeNiro Al Pacino Marlon Brando Joe Pesci James Gandolfini aka Tony Soprano |

DeNiro is always money,

Re: Favorite Gangster.
I'm gonna have to say Pesci. I loved him in "Casino" (and also in "My Cousin Vinny" and "Eight Heads in a Duffel Bag" :)).

My favorite DeNiro flick is Heat. He's been in more violent flicks, but I think he was pretty convincing in this one. |

Wesley Snipes - New Jack City

Re: Favorite Gangster.
Yeah Heat is a way underrated moive. Two great actors giving two great performances and then a seriosuly good supporting cast. Love Heat. DeNiro has the unique ability for you to like his charters even when they are the worst humans on earth. Gandolfini does it too but I think that is more a product of the writing and shaping of character rather than the performance.

Good point on Gandolfini. DeNiro brings his character to life everytime, anywhere. I like the scene where he and Pacino are in the coffee shop talking like gentlemen and discussing who's going to take who down first! |

Fat Tony (Simpsons)

Re: Favorite Gangster.
Heat is a great movie.
Can't go wrong with DeNiro... but Jack was pretty badass in The Departed. |
