Not sure if this was reported here but the NATS wore V Tech ball caps last night. I pulled mine out of the closet and have it on too.

I read this morning that a fan actually wrote an email to Stan Katsen (the team president) suggesting the hat idea and they jumped on it ASAP.

For all those who wish to debate the merits of gun control laws, please direct your comments here. In light of the tragedy and the fact that some warpathers are members of the VT community, let's keep this forum devoted to well-wishes and similar thoughts.

Here's the article about the hats. I like the comments from Ryan Zimmerman, a UVA guy.
Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman is from Virginia Beach and went to college at Virginia Tech rival Virginia.

"It was special, especially for me, them kind of being the school we always wanted to beat, more than anybody else," Zimmerman said. "It kind of shows you how little sports mean. ... It makes you realize how lucky we have it and not to take any days for granted."

And it didn't take the vulchers long to start trying to cash in. Check eBay. I won't dignify their sales by posting them but it's a shame.

Not surprising. I remember shortly after 9/11 people were hawking 9/11 crap on ebay trying to cash in on the tragedy.

Some people have no shame and only see in $$ signs.

To quote Han Solo, the kid had obvious "delusions of grandeur." He compared himself to Jesus, said he did the act for "his children," referred to Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold as martyrs, etc. He sounded like a total idiot, "I gave you a billion million chances to stop this," "blood is on your hands that cannot be washed away," etc. The poses in front of the camera would have not been laughable had they not preceded a real world tragedy. Finally, that he planned this months in advance (with scripts to read before a camera) and sent the clips to NBC suggests that he thought he would achieve stardom.

Yeah, I saw that too. Joe Gibbs driver Denny Hamlin [#11 FedEx Car] went to VMI but pays his respect to VT on his web site.

I wonder what it will look like? Small VT or bigger?

Go DENNY GO!!!

peace

Honestly, it pissed me off that they showed that shit to us. I wish it would have went down like this:

Brian Williams: "And we got a media packet from the killer, the cops checked it out, thought it was worthless, and threw it in the trash."

Much like the OJ book, why did THIS deserve to see the light of day? It's not exactly closure for the families.
