ESPN: Ex-Redskins LB Mitchell dies in sleep at home
 

Former NFL linebacker Kevin Mitchell died in his sleep at the age of 36.

[FONT=arial][SIZE=-2][COLOR=#666666][B]Mitchell[/B][/COLOR][/SIZE][/FONT] Mitchell died overnight Sunday at his home in Ashburn, near the [URL="http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was"]Washington Redskins[/URL]' training facility, according to the team. An autopsy was performed Monday by the Virginia state medical examiner's office. The cause of death was not immediately announced.
