Whoa nelly! Great thread.

I'll get started. I was dating a girl through my first two years of college, got wind that her best friend (since age 4) really liked me, dumped my girlfriend and started dating the best friend.

I now call the best friend my wife, and we are very happily married and have a baby. Seems harsh when you sum it up like that.

It hit her pretty hard, and for a while I regretted it BIG TIME and so did my wife. In fact, we kind of had a laying low period where we just felt too guilty about it. But I didn't cheat, I was straight up about it. And I was never going to marry her anyway, we just weren't right for one another in the end, and we never would have worked out in the long run.

But now? I don't regret it any longer. I think, considering how great things turned out for me and considering the great life I have with my wife and child, the real shame would have been NOT pursuing that relationship. And it's been 8 or 9 years since that breakup; and my ex has moved on and has her own life. By now, I'm no longer a blip on her radar. So it all worked out in the end, but for a while there, there was serious regret. But my wife and I are very happy together, and I couldn't trade that for anything in the world.

Thanks, I guess I don't have it in me to cheat on somebody. But still, there's that whole code that you don't date best friends when it's a serious relationship, especially not without a major grace period. Pretty much tore the friendship between my wife and my ex right in half. They don't speak anymore, obviously.

But like I said, I can't regret it now.

I wish I had some really, juicy tale to tell… but I haven’t been “not nice” to very many people. I guess once when I was 17 I had been dating a guy in high-school for 2yrs. When I went on my Senior beach trip I cheated on him, with the man I ended up marrying like 6yrs later. I really didn't consider it cheating though because we were in the process of breaking up. Oh, and I found out later he had slept with my best friend when we were dating and never told me. It was just a hook up one night and they both kept it from me, so I really didn’t feel bad about cheating on him when I found that out!!

I stole a chicken off a lady's porch. It was frozen and thawing and I was hitchhiking across country.

Steal just one Chicken and they can call you a Chicken Thief for life. Geez.

Oh, once when I was 10 I took a wiffle ball bat and whacked my babysitter on the ass and the back of the legs a good five times while she was tying my younger brother's shoes. She had major welts and refused to come back to babysit us ever again. That's what she gets for not being a hot babysitter, though. The next babysitter we got was pretty hot, I never hit her with anything.

I could go on and on about the stuff I did as a kid.
