Besides the QB position, the most interesting camp battle will be...
vote and discuss
|
Where's the poll Matty?
|
damn you're quick SS! Gotta give me a second to post! LOL
|
Oops. It never dawned on me I could see the post until after you were done with it, poll and all.
|
Three posts and I got the first vote!
The H-back position will be most interesting to me. I think the other battles on offense will be more situational, and the safety battle is overshadowed by Taylor's presence. I'm interested in the H-backs because with the team trading up to get Cooley, this front office has a lot invested in him (despite his low figure). |
Well I'm an idiot. I voted for logjam at H-Back but meant to click on Betts/McCullough/Cartwright
The logjam at H-Back is just too confusing for me right now. The receiver and safety battles are interesting, and from a fantasy football standpoint especially the receiver battle, but I think all five of those guys will make the team. The Betts/McCullough/Cartrwright battle could result in one of them no longer even being on the team. Sultan maybe? Unless of course, he goes back to the practice squad. So I find that battle being the most interesting Another battle I'm looking forward to seeing is who will start next to Griffen at DT. |
I voted WR. I think that position has the best competition simply because of the addition of Thrash. He's going to make guys work hard to beat him out. It's a good early test for both of our young receivers McCants, and Jacobs. I think Jacobs will have a chip on his shoulder because of his disappointing rookie season.
|
It was a real toss up for me. I chose the safety battle. Everyone wants to hand it to Bowen but I've seen Ohalate play much better. I think Iffy wins out for SS.
The WR battle will be interesting, but I see us using Jacobs and McCants a lot. Trash is dead money. Jacobs had a freak injury last season, Redskins P. Even Champ Bailey said he had more talent than any other receiver on the team. |
I think that the battle for center is going to be pretty heated, but I see Raymer getting the job.
|
definitly wide receiver. This is an important roster spot to make becuase gibbs isnt going to use more than three guy that often.
|
Third WR
|
I voted for the WR battle. Just to stir things up. Gardner may be the 3rd stringer. No. I forgot. Spurrier is no longer with us.

Thats the same thing I was thinking that it may not just be a battle for the 3rd wr spot but the #2 spot as well, especially with how much praise mccants and jacobs have recieved since Gibbs came back to town. |
I voted for the WR spot too.
Mainly because I see it as the tightest of all the competitions. Jacobs and McCants are both very talented WR's but are still on the raw side in terms of experience. Thrash isn't anywhere as talented but the guy works his butt off and that will win him some points with this staff. The RB battle could also be interesting if Betts gets nicked up early. McCullough is definitely an interesting prospect as far as his skills go. I wouldn't rule out Cartwright just yet either, but he seems to be on the outside track and since Gibbs doesn't utilize the FB very much, RB is Rock's best shot at making the team. If Betts can stay healthy he should have the inside track. But that's a big if. Bowen and Iffy should have a good battle to start opposite Taylor, but it's kind of a ho-hum battle to me. Neither player really excites me as they are both have their own limits. At H-back, who knows? At this point it really seems up in the air, once camp gets going we'll have a better idea of how things will shake out. |
I voted for WR, I've seen thrash and mccants, but i'm really interested in seeing how jacobs does.
