What is your favorite thing to do to reduce or get rid of stress in your life?

My girlfriend...zing!
But seriously folks. Going for a walk, or recently I discovered there's a hiking trail 5 minutes down the street from me. I just put on the ipod and starts strolling (or hiking) |

Mine is to ride my motorcycle. Sometimes Boxing is the answer, but riding the motorcycle gets my mind right. It was a fathers day gift for me after my daughter died in Jan. of 04. |

Re: Stress relief tactics?
I go to the gym. I love to lift weights. Some good music and a little old-fashioned pumping iron. Breaking a sweat and all that exertion really helps with stress. Any exercise for that matter. Stretching is great too. Take 10-15 minutes and stretch every part of your body while focusing on taking deep breaths. I do it before I go to bed. Really loosens me up and calms me down. And of course, the best of all, good sex! :thumb:

Don't worry about it. That's life. I'm just glad I have something that has the ability to get my mind off things. |

Re: Stress relief tactics?
Walking/running while listening to music does it for me. Getting out to the country side is something I find relaxing too.
The parents of this girl that I know have a cabin out in Leavenworth, WA. I make it a point to go there at least once a year just to relax. Their is a river 10 feet away from the cabin and a three day weekend there feels like heaven. We swim in the river, then get into the hot tub and just have great conversations. They have this nice telescope there too. During the summer the sky is crystal clean and perfect for star gazing. |

Re: Stress relief tactics?
Anything active. Playing some ball, going up White Oak or Little Devils Stairs (two of my favorite trails around here), soccer. Anything that you're doing with someone else and getting some excersize.
