I'm offering an official apology here...

On more than a few occasions, I have referred to Sean Taylor as a meathead. In fact, on several occassions, I have typed out "MEATHEAD" in all capital letters. :spank:

I apologize for that.

Compared to Pacman Jones, Sean Taylor has the beneficence and self-control of Mother Teresa, the intelligence of Albert Einstein and the sophisticated worldview of Winston Churchill.

Pacman Jones is a waste of human skin. :yeahright

I hope never to be tempted to assign a negative moniker to Sean Taylor again.

Mea culpa! Mea culpa! Mea maxima culpa!

Good call, outside of the ATV incident Taylor has been relatively quiet with his off the field actions. Pacman on the other hand is just a complete dumbass.

I'll go a step further. Whenever Taylor does speak to the media, he seems to be well spoken.

Sean taylor is one of the nicest players i've ever met. He is easy to talk to and none of the coaches have anything but good things to say about him. Great guy.

And thank god we did not draft this dickhead like I hoped we would. At least Carlos Rodgers hasn't had anyone shot.

I know GW beats his drum loudly, whenever anyone mentions ST to him he has nothing but the highest praise.

I want to think ST has learned from his mistakes, will be a good professional and true asset to the team as well as the league. On the contraty, some people never learn.

Its one thing to make the mistakes that ST has made, but atleast he learned from his mistakes...

It seems to me that the biggest difference between Pac and Swoop is that one of them learned to "cut the cord" and not surround himself with people, no matter how tight he is with them or what history they have, that can get put him in suspicious situations. My feeling is that Pac needs to look out for himself and his needs, regardless of how his buddies feel.

Smootsmack:

Problem is that Pacman may NEED to go to strip clubs and if he continues to go there - with or without his buds - he is likely to continue to get in trouble.

Oh, and just to be sure there is no misunderstanding here:

If you go to strip clubs and shots are fired at or near the time you are present at the strip club, you stand a better chance of winding up DEAD at age 25 or 30 than someone who does not get is ass in the vicinity of random rounds being fired. :hitfan:

Just saying...

I love Sean Taylor as a football player. A lot. And he is nowhere close to a Pacman Jones. But ST spitting in an opposing player's face (on more than one occasion) really makes me sick. Next to smacking a woman, spitting in the face of another man is about as despicable an act as I can think of. Sure it's not an off-field transgression, but pretty awful nonetheless.

what about grabbing a guys nuts, pinching his inner thigh skin, biting, scratching, punching, elbowing ribs..etc. If you've ever been in the bottom or middle of a pile, all this shit goes down including the spitting. Football is a rough sport for rough guys. spitting happens ALL the time. just ask anyone who has played. Bottom line is, it never really bothered me.

I played football for 11 years, so I know all about the dirty stuff. But if spitting in someone's face is so common, then how come it's such a big deal when it happens? When Housh accused ST it was a big news, and then Taylor got fined $15K when he did it against the Bucs in the playoffs. Remember when Romanowski spit in JJ Stokes' face? He got ridiculed big time. Spitting in a guys face isn't as common as you think. I got elbowed and punched a few times in piles, but never had my nuts grabbed (you're an idiot if you're not wearing a cup to begin with), was never bitten (facemasks make that kind of hard), and never spit on.

Trust me, if this kind of stuff went on all the time at the bottom of the pile, players would get caught a lot more often, and called out by other players a lot more often.

Totally unrelated to anything, but:

If Pac Man Jones runs into Dave "The Ghost" Casper on the street, what would happen? Could it be "Game Over" for Pac-Man.

Well if Pacman is the bar, everyone on this side of Oz is in good shape.

He had to have a diminished role in this latest event, right?
