The Pro Football Hall of Fame has yet to find a spot for Art Monk, and the former Washington Redskins All-Pro wide receiver says he’s fine with that.
Monk, who is in Westminster this week holding his annual football camp at McDaniel College, retired in 1995 after 16 NFL seasons with 940 receptions, 12,721 yards and 68 touchdowns.
He ranks sixth all-time on the receptions list and 11th on the receiving yards list, better in either category than current Hall of Famers such as Lance Alworth, Charlie Joiner, Steve Largent, Don Maynard and Michael Irvin, a member of the Class of 2007.
