Redskins_P 07-27-2004 08:03 PM

When did you find this out?

skins009 07-27-2004 08:12 PM

I agree with you, i sure thought taylor would look great in 36.

Ok. I just read it.......I did like 36 though. Shoot as long as he's still laying guys out, it doesn't matter what number he is.

SeasonTicketHolder 07-27-2004 08:44 PM

I was under the impression that he was only wearing 37 this weekend?? I could be wrong though.

SKINSnCANES 07-27-2004 08:49 PM

hmm. is 37 what centers always wore? Im a much bigger fan of 36. I liked how portis was 26 and he took 36. Im sure ill grow to love either one though.

SeasonTicketHolder 07-27-2004 10:28 PM

Yeah, Centers wore 37 when he played here.

SmootSmack 07-27-2004 10:33 PM

Rufus Brown is wearing no. 36 now. Nothing against Brown, but I get this feeling he won't be wearing a Redskins #36 for very long

On a somewhat related note (or maybe not). the Raiders cut Rod Woodson today after he failed his physical. If he can pass it, is he worth bringing in at a minimum salary to help show ST the ropes about being a free safety?

I wouldn't be against a player of woodson's quality, at or near the veteran minimum, adding depth and leadership for the safety group and even the cbs.

the article on redskins.com talking about his signing, 4th paragraph down. it is also already changed on the roster.

SKINSnCANES 07-27-2004 11:42 PM

hell yea we should take woodson if we can get him at the league minimum. He still knows how to play safety, and if he played strong safety for us we would have a steller set of safeties, perahsp one of the best tandoms in the league. Woodson has a huge knack for getting teh pick, and with him and Taylor we would surely up our pick count by a ton. Plus he could help devolop the rest of teh safeties.

Centers was the last guy to wear #37. Can anybody name the most famous 'Skin to wear the number? Here's a clue: Taylor will clean a receiver's clock like this guy did!

SmootSmack 07-28-2004 03:44 AM

I want to say Ken Houston, but I'm thinking maybe it's Pat Fischer. I think it's one of them, right?

dieselhog 07-28-2004 04:32 AM

Well, I know Jesse Campbell can't be classed as one of the most famous Redskins! :D

backrow 07-28-2004 07:56 AM

Pat Fischer!

But you guys aren't old enough!
