I'm pretty sure Spurrier tried that at least 3 times while he was here.

I think he did it during games.

Haha. Spurrier was over there before every possession flipping coins seeing who was going to go out there and get sacked.

Anyway, does it really matter who wins the toss? It is pre-season, both will get equal playing time to see who starts the season. Then who ever does the win the job, is just warming it up for Brady. So really, Romeo is saying 'I don't care who warms the seat up for Quinn'.

I'd like to think that if my job was on the line, I would have the balls to make my own decisions and sink or swim with them.

Quinn will get it. You're not going to win with Frye, so might as well get the Quinn era started.

WOW. That is basically giving your job away. Either genius or insanity I guess. I'm at a loss..... This IS the Nationial Football League, right?

Quinn needs 2 start.

Quinn wont start. Frye will start, he's the better of the 2 eligible for starting, but Quinn will be thrust in if they dont win at least 3 of their first 5. Bank on that.

Re: No Matter What, At Least We're Not Doing This...

Quinn is probably their best QB right now, rookie struggles to be expected and all, but in the long it really doesn't matter who they put in. 3rd year Anderson, 3rd year Frye, and rookie Quinn are all barely above replacement level.

I have Cleveland winning 8 games this year, but certainly not behind their offense.

8? Wow. Have they really improved that much on D? Last year all they effectively did on that side of the ball was look like us last year; awful. Maybe I'm underrating them. Then again, I dont think the Lions will win 8 games next year. They MIGHT put up a lot of points and make some FF owners happy, but they wont win games. Their lines on both sides of the ball are atrocious at best.

Overall, starting Quinn wouldnt be a bad idea. I think they agree that he IS their future so, might as well get him in there now. But you could make an argument for sitting him as well. All depends.

I do think pretty highly of their defense this year. Leigh Bodden is a great corner. Kamerion Wimbley and D'Qwell Jackson quietly had great rookie years. I think they will take the next step.

But the main reason I say 8 and not 7 or 6 is because of a soft out-of-division schedule. NFC West for starters, and a 4th place divisional schedule, giving them Houston, Oakland, and Miami. They will win more games than those 3 teams.

I see playoffs for them next season (2008), when Quinn begins to look like the Carson Palmer of 2004.

1) I like the Browns, and secrectly, I root for them because they are ALWAYS heavy underdogs ( a la' Redskins ) so, I feel for them. Now, I may root for them, but I dont keep track of their players as much as I do 'Skins players. I know that when Kellen Winslow is healthy he is a BIG factor as is that WR they have whose name I cant remember because I'm a little drunk. Other than those two, I know nada so, I'll kind of have to take your word for it there.

2) Duh! I make am opinion about a team quicker than I should have. Didnt even check out their schedule for this year. Oak, Mia, and Hou are all quite winnable games for the Browns, barring a breakdown. I like Houston the best out of the 3 for some f-ed up reason. They are my sleeper pick to have a decent year. I believe the Texans could win 7-8 games next year, but that is sheerly based on my liking of Matt Schaub and my thinking that their D wont suck forever if they keep pumping 1st round picks into it.

Playoffs possible for Browns. We will have to see! :-)
