Game Over

So is it me not paying attention or did they never actually call the game off? I had to go to nfl.com to see that they called it. Right now even Redskins.com has it as the game being delayed.

I figured after 30 minutes of Redskins history being played and seeing that stupid caveman commercial 3-4 times in a row it was over.

I gave up too. I figured if they did come back out and play it would be worthless anyway.

The defense looked pretty good tonight in the first half.

Nope it is actually over. What a bunch of BS. But, I guess for the safety of the players it is for the best.

Offense: Running game was inept, Collins had a nice 40yd pass to Moss to start the game, I believe Randle El had 4 recs, and Lloyd had 1 rec. Sellers fumbled on a swing pass, other than that there wasn't to much going on, I believe we ended up with 115 total yards.

Defense: The D looked good for a third straight preseason game, Landry had a few nice plays, along with Carter, Fletcher, Blades, Rogers. Sean Taylor missed another big hit on Steve McNair, but I believe he ended up with 2 tcks. Trucks, and Prioleau nailed Boller causing the ball to fly up in the air, and Sartz made the Int, and returned it for a TD. Only negative things I could pick out were the Defense seemed to be overpursuing a lot, and we had a bit of trouble covering the intermediate routes, but thats about it.

Dupe....

I'm really glad we decided to leave at halftime. It would have been nice to see that INT for a TD, but I caught the replay on Comcast and I think that was good enough.

I'm surprised they didn't call the game earlier because there was lightning EVERYWHERE the entire time.

I left right after the int by Sartz. That was it. I was suprised they played as long as they did. Oh well....

Thought the D looked nice. Landry is going to be a good one.

And now, I am too!

The Defense looked great. That fluke INT return for a TD was something that usually happens against us. Nice to see how it feels when it's in our favor for a change. The Offense doesn't look as lost as they did last year in pre-season but they do look out of sync. I hope they can pull it together.

Yeah, that about sums it up. They put a graphic up of the running game totals for the preseason so far: Against Tennessee, 43 yards rushing, against Pittsburgh, 77 yards. Last night, it was practically zilch.

Looks like it's going to take awhile for the O-line to get cohesion in the running game. Right now, they've got nothing.

Re: Game Over

Missing a ProBowl lineman and the starting RB for the entire preseason probably hasn't helped any.

Re: Game Over

Yes, further adding to the extra time it will take for cohesion once Samuels comes back.

But you're right, with Samuels and Portis, and four full quarters to get things going, the running game will get on track. I wouldn't expect it to be in full swing against Miami though.

And good morning, 724skinsfan.

Another reason to like the Kendall trade. His experience should minimize the time it takes for the line to come together once everyone is on the field practising together.

Good morning. My family came into town this weekend. I'm waiting for breakfast. I usually eat at 6:00 and it's nearly 8:00...{grumble}
