49ers, Texans, Packers. All better teams then the Redskins? Hmmmm. We'll see.

They just keep blowing Dallas... How in the hell can the team with the 26th best defense in the league be the 3rd best team overall?!

And can anyone tell me what Seattle, San Fran, Houston, Cincy, and possibly Denver have done to be ranked higher than Washington?

They are good teams, but seriously a rise from 25th to 11th for the Texans? That is a bit too much. Shows that their "power rankings" suck because they obviously thought the Texans first win was a fluke.

I cannot argue agaisnt you about Dallas but what was Indy's D ranked last year? They were number 1 but I think they had atleast a par or barely subpar D.

If I were to honestly appraise where we stand, I would say somewhere between 8 and 10. Which I guess would be 9.

I'm not too upset w/this, seems about right for the most part.

Only thing I disagree with is Pitt. should be at #3, not dallas.

Dallas does deserve to be pretty high, though I know the D doesn't look too good. I am still expecting them to come around as the season progresses & they get Newman back. You can bet when they play us their D will not look like it has these last 2 weeks.

Yeah they keep blowing Dallas, but if they score 40+ points a game, they don't need a great defense to keep winning. Sort of like the Indy teams of the recent past. Just go put up big numbers on offense every week, and have an ok defense. I think their defense will come around though, so it's probably a fair rating at this point.

Didn't Indy win the SB with like the 30th rated D last year?

Yeah, but they were probably the #1 or #2 defense in the playoffs. It was like watching a completely different team. Part of it was they got their safety back and I think part of it was Dungey sandbagging so there wouldn't be film on his schemes. He knew his offense could get him in the playoffs and then he let his defense loose. Big offense and no defense will take you part of the way. To go all the way you have to be good/near great in all three phases of the game.

You have to consider who we have beaten and that is two 0-2 teams

That would be something to have the luxury to sandbag all the way through the season and not reveal your defensive schemes until the playoffs. I'm not sure that was the case as much as they were just focused more than ever after always being the team that can't get to the big show.

I guess it would be better if they were 2-0, then we'd have a higher ranking...oh wait then we wouldn't be 2-0...hmmmmm
