Cowboys OVERRATED @ 4-0?
 

Um. Yes I said it. If you had listened to my radio show today you'd have heard it there first... The Cowboys are overrated even being 4-0! Including their Monday night opponent (5 teams) Dallas' opponents are a combined 4-16. This week will also fuel the false sense of domination. We'll watch the Cowboys abuse QB Trent Edwards in his 2nd career start. I'll only start believing the Cowboy hype when they host the perennial contender Patriots next week.

Well, they've beaten a bad Miami team, a struggling, but gradually finding its way New York Giant team, a Chicago team that was conveniently missing 3 or 4 key defensive players, along with a complete bum at quarterback, and a downright pathetic Rams team at home.

But ... in this league, you have to beat the teams you're supposed to beat, and the Cowchips have passed that test so far.

There are a handfull of really good teams, a few really bad teams, and a whole slew of teams in the middle of the pack who are very often a different looking team from week to week. Right now, they're in that first group of teams as much as it pains us to admit it.

I know I am biased...because it's Dallas....but I keep saying just what that guy Skip Baylesss? from ESPN First Take is saying.....Romo's production WILL fall off just like it did last year after his hot start....and at some point...T.O. WILLLLL blow up about something!!!!!

I've heard it said "a team is as good as their current record" and also "you are as good as your last game played"....If any of this is true, the Cowboys "are who we thought they were"...the real deal... Would we chose to do battle with less? ...I think not.

Facts are, we may not want Dallas yet, but when we do, we are going to face one of their better teams with out question... Go Skins!!

That's good insight to what drives man's competitive spirit...and makes for a hell of a cowboy and indian shoot out.

I hate to say it, but no, they are not overrated. They are without a doubt a playoff team, and everyone had them going to the playoffs, or just barely out of it. I do not think they are the best team in the NFL, and I do think they will lose in the playoffs cause I feel their D is fundamentally flawed. It's already been exposed but they haven't really faced the talent they will come playoff time.
Their offense is clicking on all cylinders though, and that will be one tough offense to stop.

So on your Radio show since you are so knowledgeable, I am sure you also pointed out that the, as you call them, "perennial contender Patriots", opponents combine record is also 4-16?

So just because the Cowboys opponents have a combined record of 4-16, they are over rated? But the Patriots, whose opponents have the same record, are NOT?

Can you say CONSISTENCY?

They don't care about that.

IMO when the Pats signed Moss they bought themselves and undefeated season if everyone stays healthly. I assume that is why everyone does not consider the Pats overrated. They are beating teams they should but so is Dallas and go figure!

Just to clarify: Cowboys first 4 opponents record is 3-13. I added the Bills (their opponent on MNF) to prove my point. So my tally included 5 opponents bringing the total to 4-16 (5 teams). Check your math again. And yes I still stand by the fact that @ 4-0 the Cowboys are overrated.

that's a tad misleading.
Patriots, 148 points for (#2), 48 points against (#5) in 4 games.
Dallas, 151 points for (#1), 72 points against (#11) in 4 games.


Dallas lets up 18 points per game, while the Pats let up 12. That's a difference of a TD per game.
Now don't get me wrong, I hate the both of you. Dallas is my #1 hated team, Patriots #2. So if the Pats and Cowpatties were to meet in the super bowl, it will seriously be the 1st super bowl I will not watch since I was born in 75.

look, i hate the cowboys, but they are not overrated, i mean, there doing what we was suppose to do, and thats beat teams we need to beat, by the way isn't it funny that my girl friend is a die hard cowboy fan, i get to...:spank:....???? well, anyway, she want even touch my helmet! (uh redskin helment :eek:) so weather we win or lose, i still get to stick it to the cowboys :)

LOL...get a redskins emblem tatooed on your...ummm...you know. LOL.
