From what I've read on the Packer's chat boards, it might not be that big of a loss.

What are you? The Packer Tracker?
:) |
Re: Packers Starting Center Out For Skins Game.
The headline of this post is the first I've heard of this. They already can't run the ball, and center-QB cohesion is important, so it could be a big deal. But I'm sure Favre has probably played with a dozen centers in his career, so as long as his backup isn't awful I don't think this will be much of a factor.

Re: Packers Starting Center Out For Skins Game.
I'm not as worried about their offense as I am about ours. Cullen Jenkins has come out of nowhere to become a monster and they've got Aaron Kampman and KGB to boot. I don't think their defense is some juggernaut, but their DEs could give our tackles fits.

I think our D has a similar task in that GB is by far a pass first, pass often team. But their O-line is much better than Detroit's. I look for us to mix in the blitz more than last week, but still try to play "straight up" more often than not. And I'm pretty worried about their D-line and linebackers. Nick Barnett and AJ Hawk are quickly becoming a dominant tandem. I think Al Harris and an aging Woodson can be beat, especially if Moss and Randle El are playing. IMO this game has 20-13 written all over it... |

Me as well. This can be a Break out game for the Skins! |

I mean, I think they would be honest about it. I think the general feeling is that the backup is more than capable. We'll find out that's for sure. |

Not so much a break out game is what I'm looking for, but people, media included, will know we're for real. The whole disrespect thing goes out the window. And I'll say this too. It won't matter how the Skins win. If we win on some flukely last minute play or if Brett throws ten interceptions, this win will count in big way. |
Re: Packers Starting Center Out For Skins Game.
I think we should let 12th do punt returns if Randle el doesnt play.

I'm sure he is capable. Just not the starter and the one giving Favre the ball for the first 5 games. Maybe we get a play or two advantage and that's pretty good. Who knows maybe he'll mess up the timing more than just a bit. I like our chances in this game. We match up well against them and Brett forces things at times. |
