Forced Fumbles Mean Nothing...
...if you don't recover them
This was mentioned last week and probably today as well, but we really need do something about our inability to recover fumbles. Four forced fumbles in each of the last two games, and no recoveries. That ain't good |
Re: Forced Fumbles Mean Nothing...
very very very very very typical ..... all i have to say

Re: Forced Fumbles Mean Nothing...
Yeah I noticed the exact same thing. You can't say we haven't had our chances, just some bad breaks.

Re: Forced Fumbles Mean Nothing...
I'm not sure if they can do anything. In most cases the ball just seems to bounce in favor of the other team.

Re: Forced Fumbles Mean Nothing...
It's kind of a funny shaped ball. Not much you can do there.

Re: Forced Fumbles Mean Nothing...
Green Bay could have easily had 6-7 turnovers between those fumbles and our dropped INTs. I really like our chances if we have to go through Green Bay in the post-season. Favre is what he is at this point in his career, but Campbell may improve significantly by January.

At least they're forcing turnovers and fumbles will bounce our way if we keep at it. |

Let's look at this game as potentially our tampa games of 05. We lost a heartbraker in the reg. season, but beat them in the playoffs at their place. |

We did recover that fumble Thrash had on that big return in the game against Detroit.

You heard it said here first...... This could be the year like 2005 where the Bucs beat us in the regular season in a game we should have won, but then the Skins beat them in the playoffs. I would take that kind of a result this year with the Packers..... beat us in the Regular Season and then we win in the Playoffs. |

I remember feeling that the Skins were the better team after that first Tampa game - pretty much how I feel about yesterday's game.

actually no, it wasn't "heard...here first." See 2 posts prior. Cool that we both thought of it. |
Re: Forced Fumbles Mean Nothing...
The forced fumbles will come our way. It's great to see that we've caused them. AC had a great one on Manning in week 3. We'll see some more like that.
E. James has a history of fumbling. Look for him to put it on the grass & definitely look for Warner/Rattay to get nailed & fumble at least once. |
