980AM reports Warner to start!

Czaban reported a little while ago on 980AM that Kurt Warner will start Sunday. Can anyone confirm this? If this is the case and Springs doesn't play, it could drastically change this Sunday's game...

He's in Texas at his father's bedside. Ron Springs is in a coma and apparently it's not looking good. I don't think there's anyone out there, including Skins top brass, who would fault him for putting family before football. But there's a chance he'll miss the game because of missing all week on the practice field.

I JUST THIS SECOND heard on ESPN that doctors told the family there is ZERO chance he will survive. What a shame. So sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to their family, and don't count on Springs being on the field Sunday. What a shitty double whammy.

Last I heard, Warner practiced today and won't require surgery but he's not expected to start until Nov. 4 for the Cardinals

Springs father was a football player and so in Shawn. His dad would want him to play and have the game of his life........in loving memory.

That's what I heard too, but a friend of mine called me from his car and said he heard Czaban say it. I have looked all of over the net and can't find anything to that effect.

i also heard it, but cant remember where. but i say just bring it. Warner injured could possibly get killed on game-day. and he already is good for a fumble or two

Well there ya go. It's hearsay. The odds are, Warner will be on the sidelines this Sunday.

No problems for US with warner starting, IF TRUE. Might just be the end of his season for him on the flip side. He will be HAMMERED!

I really hope thats the case, but thats the last thing I'm worried about, if Springs doesnt play, his teamates should play for him than...everyone deals with this kind of stuff differently and if Springs retired in a week and says he wanted his dad to see his last game, I'd be fine with that too...its completley up to Shawn and not saying that you are, but I no one should push him back until he wants to play.

This is a big game for them as well. I would expect Warner to play. I would be shocked if he doesn't

I know he is very very close with his dad. I hope he does play in honor of his dad.

100% agreed. He needs to do what's best for him and his family. Granted, his father was a football player, and if he could speak he'd probably tell Shawn to go to his job and be there for his teammates. Gibbs said it is all up to Shawn as to when he wants to return. I hope to have him. I think if he came back the D would just play their friggin guts out for him....
