Be humble when making predictions learn a lesson
As you can see the Cardinals are no walk over.

Re: Be humble when making predictions learn a lesson
I didn't think they would be.

Re: Be humble when making predictions learn a lesson
Our offense is really able to keep other teams in games.

Re: Be humble when making predictions learn a lesson
why are we not blitzing more??? i could of stood back there with all that time and found an open reciever. it looks like the injury to marcus washington is hurting us more then i thought it would on defense

So a 23-10 prediction means you thought they would be tough??? I expected a hard fought battle, and we got that. I did not expect for our coaches to almost give up with their calls. We should have done better than we did. |
Re: Be humble when making predictions learn a lesson
Does anyone think that "maybe" we were looking ahead to the toughest team in the league next week?
|
Re: Be humble when making predictions learn a lesson
I expected us to win by 1 (7-6) and we won by two. Should I be humbled or just pissed off at this point?

NO! That is definitely not the problem with Skins football (or if it is, it's number 999 on the list of 1000).:( |
I think the Cardinals defense is better than many people think and our offensive line is in shambles. That combination does not bode well for our running game and our offense as a whole. Nevertheless, our defense wins this game. Redskins 24 (7 from D), Cardinals 14.
I don't think my prediction exhibited arrogance (although quoting my own post does make me look "douche-ish"). I think I expected, along with at least several others, a hard-fought battle. |
Re: Be humble when making predictions learn a lesson
Remember also that up to about five minutes before kick-off we thought Tim Rattay would be at QB. I was not impressed by the Cardinals, though, and I still don't think they're a very good team. The defense looked like world-beaters because the Skins o-line is wretched. I didn't think the line would look that bad. I watched Fabini in the game last week and was actually appalled at how bad he was in the run game but I actually think he might be getting worse (or maybe Dockett is just a better player than he's faced previously). Is Rick DeMulling really worse than him or do the Skins just feel some sense of loyalty to Fabini since he was here all offseason and stepped into a tough situation when Thomas went down? I assume Buges would play the best guy, but if Fabini is seriously better than DeMulling than Rick must really suck.

23-10 isn't exactly a blowout prediction. I expected a tough game, and a game where we would try to lean on the D and running game. |
Re: Be humble when making predictions learn a lesson
The Skins barely survive against a team with a 1 armed QB. They are an above average NFL team. Nothing more, nothing less. I can make 1 prediction, they will be completely & totally crushed by NE as NE feasts on the stupid plays and mistakes this teams constantly makes.

Yeah, it's not going to be a contest. And for those of you who think that Bill Belichick and his crew are going to overlook this game, I think you are sadly mistaken. This is the same Patriots team that ran up the score against the Cboys and this week against the Dolphins. They believe in complete humiliation and I think Belichick is going to try to do it to us. |

That is the most f'd up sentence I've ever seen - I hope you're a six or seven year old just screwing around on the internet. |
