Wow, he's worse than Taylor.

Redskins_P 08-04-2004 07:15 PM

Well they do have the best weed out there.......

itvnetop 08-04-2004 07:21 PM

Plus he'd fit right in on Haight Street hehehe

Riggo44 08-04-2004 07:35 PM

Another head case on the Raiders!!! :Smoker: Na come on you must be kidding!!

DG: Brewer & Redskins fan 08-04-2004 10:17 PM

Odds are Ricky will be back once the funds start to drop...and someone WILL take the chance on him. In the meantime, be prepared to read a consistent flow of "Where's Ricky" stories for the next year or so.

That Guy 08-04-2004 10:21 PM

that'd get messy with miami owning the rights, him wanting more money... him being a complete mental case... out an entire year of football... the suspensions and fines... the continued drug use... what a snake's nest.

MTK 08-04-2004 10:35 PM

The Raiders would be the one team crazy enough to give up multiple picks and take on a guy like this. Seems like a match made in heaven.

DG: Brewer & Redskins fan 08-04-2004 10:38 PM

But you know, if he really wanted to come back for $$$, some team would do what it would have to do. Give this situation a year or two, and I bet a few team develop a memory block. I'm just saying...

BleedBurgundy 08-04-2004 11:00 PM

Ok... Before, I respected his choice but not his timing. If this was a ploy to get out of Miami, then the guy's just a dick. And only "cali fans" would understand him as a "weirdo?" Cause I guess South Beach is now inhabited by the Amish... Yeah, the guy's a dick.

DG: Brewer & Redskins fan 08-04-2004 11:26 PM

Yeah, the choice thing is probably not as straight forward as the sales pitch. When this shakes out, I doubt the hindsight view will place Ricky in the same category as J. Brown and B. Sanders - a decision based on moral grounds. Ricky is taking the easy way out for now but more than likely want to work his way back in...

SKINSnCANES 08-05-2004 12:29 AM

Im not going to buy to much into this for now. My guess is he was high in LA and thought it would be cool. I think it would be cool to play for the Raiders to but that doesnt mean I will.

SmootSmack 08-05-2004 01:25 AM

Did you notice the shameless cross-promotion in the CNN article about another Time Warner product?

"In an interview conducted via America Online's instant-messenger service..."

An AIM interview? How do we know it was actually Ricky Williams? Maybe it was RedskinRat, using the screen name RWrollit34, just messing with the poor writer

kingerock 08-05-2004 09:21 AM

If any team gives him a second chance, I hope they build a 'cut and run clause' into the contract so if he decides to leave early or doesn't stop smokin pot he has to give back every dime with interest.

BrunellFan 08-05-2004 09:23 AM

Apparently Ricky doesnt give a damn about winning anymore... Oakland is easily 2 years away from doing anything in this league, and with the Norv as coach...

Carnage 08-05-2004 09:36 AM

you just knew he'd end up there sooner or later!
