The Cowboys Activate Tank J.
I get killed here all the time for thinking that the skins should pick up troubled talented players. Tank J. is a monster, are the skins going to kick themselves for not taking a chance on this guy?

great another gun runner for the cowgirls

Re: The Cowboys Activate Tank J.
Why is Tank Johnson great again?
He wasn't very good in Chicago, so I'm not sure why he's expected to be a big contributor in Dallas. |

Re: The Cowboys Activate Tank J.
well i never read that before. anyone can believe what they want to believe. He might not be great but he cant hurt either. Just another law breaker for the cowgirls

Re: The Cowboys Activate Tank J.
I thought we should have picked him up too. But Gibbs would never have gone for it. Looks like the Cowboys are only getting stronger.:vomit:

Re: The Cowboys Activate Tank J.
Is he really going to make an impact first game? I don't really know. I don't even know if he is going to be that significant in the long run. Out of shape and law issues. It is what it is; a gamble.

That's like the pot calling the kettle black when you consider the legal troubles of Sean Taylor just year before last. I do beleive there were gun charges there as well. But no one expects "Pro Bowl" caliber performance from Tank Johnson. The guy has not taken a snap in football game since the Super Bowl last year. But what he does bring is some much needed depth. Jason Fergeson was lost for the season in the very first game. The Cowboys moved Jay Ratliff from DE into the NT position, then they resigned Remi Ayodele, who had been released at training camp. Ratliff has taken most of the snaps but Remi has played a little as well. Remi is the brother of Cowboys LB Akin Ayodele. Rookie FB Deon Anderson was placed on IR after a torn rotater cuff injury he got in the Eagles game. This made room for Tank. So now Dallas will have 3 NT's rotating in and out of games, helping keep the middle of that line rested throughout the game. Ratliff has done very well, and now there is some depth at NT. |
Re: The Cowboys Activate Tank J.
I think Tank will help the Cowboys with added depth at their weakest position in their defense. This was a good move for them and hit fits right in with the rest of the thugs.

[/quote] Big difference, pay attention. Taylor was not convicted and has stayed away from the people who put him in that situation in the first place. It was his only legal "issue" and he was only convicted by the media, not by the courts. Coach Gibbs now says he's one of the most outstanding , hardworking and committed people on the team. The Cowboys just signed someone out of jail who's a repeat offender...and have a history of repeatedly signing drug addicts. Now add Tank Johnson to the long list. Show me any Redskin in the last decade who has been convicted of anything. It doesn't happen and even if it would, we would not have a long list of offenders like Dallas or the Bengals. |
