Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
I say we'll have to finish with at least 10 wins to have a shot at the playoffs this year.
Dallas is probably going to finish 12-4, NYG could be anywhere from 9-7 to 11-5 and I wouldn't be shocked. Detroit and GB both are looking like they could put up 10-11 wins. We're going to really have to turn it up a notch if we want any post season action this year. |

You know people are going to jump on you for a repeat thread or for one thats close to others.

I didn't see it. HA! Lock it down, if you must...

Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
Detroit still has G. Bay twice, Minnesota, the g-men, Dallas & S. Diego on its schedule.
Like us, this is the hard part of their schedule. I don't know if they'll win 4 more games, so I think 9-7 might make it. |

I just saw it. I'm a douche. Commencing three month ban.

Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
I know people are tired of the mods telling people what to do, so F it, let's just talk about this again.
10 wins is a must. |
Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?

Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
I think 10 and it's up to tie breakers. I think detroit is going to get better as the year goes on. I don't see Green Bay winning consistently with that running game.

Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
In all seriousness, is there anyway to merge this with Campbell17's thread? I feel kinda retarded.

Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
Ten wins and the playoffs are a guarantee.
Nine wins and you'll probably be in the NFC playoffs - - but not the AFC. Eight wins and you're in tie-breaker jungle. |
Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
I'm gonna say 11 wins, there aren't a lot of good teams in the NFC per se, just a lot of teams that will finish with winning records. Detroit, Green Bay, New York, Dallas, pick someone from NFC South and NFC West, and we are gonna have to step it up if we want to get in. I think 10-6 will leave us on the outside, which is a shock but right now New York/Detroit would get in ahead of us because we're 5-3 and they're 6-2.

Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
10-6
NFC East, Cowboys or Giants (the other is a wildcard) NFC North, Packers right now, but they play Detroit 2x and @ Cowboys, so Detroit may slip by them NFC South, They are not in 1st right now, but the Saints will win that division. Easy second half schedule based on how they are playing now. Only one team of their final 8 currently has a winning record, the Bucs at 5-4 NFC West, Who cares! but probably Seattle, but noone else is worthly of a Wildcard so it won't affect the Skins. It will take 10 wins to get by the Lions in a Wildcard tiebreaker otherwise the Skins have to really do some damage against the Boys and the Giants in the 3 games they have left against them. Eagles game is a must win this week. |
Re: Halfway Through: What Record Gets Us Into The Playoffs?
It will take at least 10 wins. We really picked a bad year to be a somewhat good team... why couldn't we do this good last year!?!?!?

I think that's the big point right there. It's not that Det or GB is that great, it's just that their records will probably be pretty damn good at the end of the year. IT doesn't hurt that they get to play Chi and Min 4 times a year instaed of Dallas, NYG and PHI. |
