Where's the Jacked Up Clips???
Didn't see anything like this posted before, so sorry if it's a dup.
Does anyone know what happened to the Jacked Up segment on ESPN? I used to love watching it, but I haven't see it this year, and neither has several people I work with. I don't know much about computers or I would put some of this years hits together. If anyone has something, let me know. |

I think Brud is spot on. That segment always celebrated the violence of great hits. hard to do that when a guy is nearly paralyzed.

Re: Where's the Jacked Up Clips???
Don't get me wrong, what happened to Everett is terrible. However, part of why we love football is the huge collisions. Football is a violent sport and sometimes injuries go horribly wrong. Part of jacked-up's policy was they wouldn't play clips with a penalty in them or with an injury.

That's not completely true. They had the hit on Trent last year, but they tried to do it with some class. "Sorry to say this Trent, and we hope you get better....but, you got jacked up. I agree with you completely though. I don't want to see anyone get injured, but I do love watching people get smacked around. If anyone has the talent, and the time maybe we could get someone to start a Warpath Jacked up? |
Re: Where's the Jacked Up Clips???
It hasnt been on all this season, even before Kevin Everett broke his neck . Ive been missing it too.

Re: Where's the Jacked Up Clips???
they certainly showed trent green's head bouncing on that cheap block he tried to throw against the texans enough did'nt they?

Re: Where's the Jacked Up Clips???
I believe the wake of the concussion issue killed Jacked Up. Jacked Up never showed clips of players getting injured, but ESPN thought it was insensitive to show clips of guys getting trucked given the light being shed on the health of former players.

Re: Where's the Jacked Up Clips???
I thought Michael Irvin was the main person to do it and after he was fired they just stopped doing it

Re: Where's the Jacked Up Clips???
Ask the resident ESPN expert...or is he too busy making more kool-aid?
Smooty...where you at? |
Re: Where's the Jacked Up Clips???

Re: Where's the Jacked Up Clips???
That was a fun part of MNF and the games really lose some of their presense, and idk how it relates to Everett. By the way, how is he doing?
