Defensive improvement
Our defense is starting to play a little bit better, even though our DB's got smoked by T.O. The one player that got overlooked in the Dallas game who in my opinion improved our play against the run and will definitively help on the stretch run is MARCUS WASHINGTON. I think it's a plus that his getting healthier.

I think he's still a good way from 100%.

MW was mad rusty last week.

Re: Defensive improvement
Got to agree with the assessment about Washington not being all there. He had moments, but it looked like for the most part, he wasn't up to snuff. Hopefully he improves next week, and continues to for the rest of the season.

Re: Defensive improvement
I think our D is on the decline. Even before ST went out, teams have figured out how to beat G. Williams scheme. The Patriots game exposed our weakness, not to mention the fact that we lost C. Rogers. The D seems to hold everything in check in the first half, but does not adjust to the opponents offensive adjustments in the second half.
My question is: Why didnt G. WIlliams have our best corner S. Springs on Owens all day, with help over the top? At one point Torrence and Doughty covering the arguably the best reciever in the game, and it wasnt a blitz play! |
