The Vikings/Redskins game could be moved to Primetime on NBC..
picked this up from some other boards..
apparently they're contemplating the bills/giants, redskins/vikings, or the eagles/saints games... LINK: The Buffalo News: Bills & NFL: Bills-Giants more likely for nighttime NBC is looking for a game to replace the dog currently scheduled — Tampa Bay-San Francisco. If the Bills win Sunday over winless Miami, there is a very good chance that NBC will flex the game and ruin your Christmas shopping plans. The other possible flex moves would be Washington-Minnesota and Philadelphia-New Orleans. Minnesota is the only team of the four with a .500 record and has rookie sensation Adrian Peterson. But they all are in the playoff hunt, which could make their games important. |

Depends what happens this week. Bills-Giants would make sense to tap into the NY market.

no idea. |
Re: The Vikings/Redskins game could be moved to Primetime on NBC..
Redskins need to beat the Giants I would think to make a Sunday night Vikings/Skins matchup more realistic. Here is the thing..... the giants can't win at home, but they are deadly on the road....that's good for the Skins next week.

I hope so I would love to see us on prime time again.

That would be awesome.

Depending on how things play out Vikings vs. Redskins could be the best matchup of the day. But I'd be surprised if the Redskins had three consecutive games in primetime.

Re: The Vikings/Redskins game could be moved to Primetime on NBC..
If Madden gets a vote, it won't be the Redskins. He probably thinks one Redskins game on NBC is too many. He hates us, he hates Joe Gibbs. Of course if it were his call, NBC would only show Packers games, much like they do with Notre Dame on Saturdays. (that worked out real well for them this year)
For my part, I say leave it on Fox. That "Football Night in America" show is a veritable Creature Cantina of rejects and ne'r do wells. Costas - awful. Collingsworth - awful. Tiki- awful. Olbermann - looks like one of those creepy posters at the eye doctor's office. The Redskins are the only thing that can compel me to watch this hideous network and if we could limit that to once, it would be for the best. NBC's halftime crew may be bad, but at least the game won't be on NFLN. Gumble almost makes the games unwatchable.

That wasn't the question! Eventually he got to the question but still...
I didn't see it. There are only two announcers that I don't have any complaints about at this point. Troy Aikman because he goes out of his way to play it straight and be objective and Don Criqui because he's been at it so long his voice reminds me of my childhood. "What about Joe Buck?", some might ask. He says "into the arms of" way too often. As in "Bledsoe's pass tipped by Daniels into the arms of Cornelius Griffin." He says it 3 to 4 times a game with a rising vocal emphasis on "arms" like he's saying "W eeeeeeeuuuuNBC!" Petty perhaps on my part but there it is. |
Re: The Vikings/Redskins game could be moved to Primetime on NBC..
First we've got to win on Sunday versus the G-men. I'm not sure, but I think NBC has to announce the flex move 12 days out, so if it happens it will be before we play that game. Bills-Giants would not be a good game to flex, who's going to watch that outside of the state of NY?
