Quick question about Kris Jenkins
I was watching the last Panthers game of the regular season and the broadcasters stated that Jenkins wanted to play closer to his family in Maryland. So seeing that he is from Maryland and the two obvious choices are the Redskins and the Ravens. What are our chances of landing him? And before the season started the Panthers were shopping him for a 4th round pick.

Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
has an injury history and i think i remember hearing about him taking plays off

Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
We've done well lately bringing in young players through the draft and developing them. I'm wary of shipping off more draft picks.

Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
He's old, fat and out of shape. No thanks.

Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
Kris Jenkins is a beast and only 28. I'd love to see him in Skins uniform, for the right price. If he's looking for a big payday then it just wouldn't be worth it.

Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
I like last year's approach. Maybe one big free agent. But i think most of our devolpment should come via the draft. As a matter of fact, i wouldnt be against moving some of our roster out if the price was right. Draft picks, draft picks, draft picks. Let's get young.

Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
I know that he's said that he utterly hates the Skins since his playing days at UMD. I know money is money no matter where it comes from, but I doubt he'd choose to play here if he has the choice.
Plus he's old and gets hurt a lot, so there's that. |
Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
safer to pass on him.

I agree 100%. Beyond 100%. |
Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
We don't have a 4th rounder, so I'd bite if we could get him for a 5th rounder or less (which is unlikely IMO). Kris Jenkins is one of those boom or bust guys; he's a Pro Bowler when healthy and motivated, but the problem is that he's often injured and/or unmotivated.

Re: Quick question about Kris Jenkins
Anyone here remember Dan "Big Fatty" Wilkenson?
He was big and strong and was a terror on the D-line - - when he found it in his heart to care enough to play hard. Fortunately for all of us, he has "moved on" from here. Connect the dots folks... |

Damaged goods. But if Carolina cuts him we should take a look. Sometimes guys need a change. |
