RUMOR: Jeff Fisher spotted getting on Redskins One

Hey guys,

A friend of a friend of a friend who is in the Air Force and stationed in Tennessee, swears that he saw Redskins One land on an Air Force base in Tennessee today. He said he saw with his own two eyes, Jeff Fisher board the plane and it took off. Like I said it's a friend of a friend of a friend, so I don't know if there is any truth to this, especially since Fisher signed an extension not to long ago with the Titans. I do think if there is anyone outside the organization who Gregg Williams would want to stick around for, it would be Fisher. It makes since that they would want to fly into an Air Force base to keep the whole thing under wraps. I guess we will just have to wait and see if there is any merit to this rumor. What do you guys think about bringing in Fisher? I do think that we still need a GM type to be brought in, but judging from Gibbs retirement speech I don't think that Snyder has any plans of moving in that direction. Have fun with this one!!

And if anyone is curious, I had Bigfoot over for dinner tonight.

That's very interesting. Shoot, just the other day I was telling Matty I heard a rumor that Snyder was flying to Tennessee to meet with Jeff Fisher. But I thought it was bull when it turned out that they were meeting with Jim Schwartz.

Fisher would be amazing. To keep the same staff and add Fisher would be as close to perfect as it gets.

For Fisher to break his contract with the Titans though I think he'd have to be named President as well.

That would be something, but I'd be pretty surprised if it happened.

The guys on ES tracked the plane at LAX today, returning to Dulles at 6:30 p.m.

Just a FYI...

He was at my place last week. Sloppy eater

Seriously though, I'll give Krills some benefit of the doubt. He doesn't post often but he's usually pretty legit (best I recall). Though I thought Redskins One was heading out West today.

Ah well, there you go then

Is there a Redskins Two?

It was Jim Schwartz.

BTW - I'm not saying Snyder sent a jet there or anything. Just that, if he did, it's more likely a follow-up with Schwartz than it is Fisher.

I dunno. However, Om eluded to them sending the plane on dummy missions in the past to divert attention. So who knows?

I don't doubt it.

I'd love to have Fisher here. Though I know that Titans fans had the same arguments about Fisher and Norm Chow as Skins fans did about Gibbs/Saunders (was Fisher handcuffing Chow). So it'd be interesting to see how that played out here.

Anyhow, I think my original hunch from earlier in the week is still what's going to happen. Williams as HC, and Schwartz as Williams' replacement.

I love Fisher, but there is no way I I'm getting my hopes up for this. When it comes to the Dan, anything is possible. Hoping for the best, expecting the worse.

That exact thought has crossed my mind. It would seem to make the most sense at this point in time. Schwartz learned under Williams did he not?

Yup, Belichick, Williams, and Fisher. Some good coaches to learn under.

Schwartz would (I imagine) and should take a head coaching job if offered. But where might that be? Baltimore is rumored to be choosing between either Marty or Brian Schottenheimer, the Dolphins are almost a lock to take Sparano. I guess there's always the Falcons. But they just hired a Pats front office guy to be their GM so he might want to poach someone from NE's staff.
