Phillip Rivers

Philip Rivers had an ACL tear; he also had miniscus damage which he immediatly had surgery on so that it could hold up for the Pats game. That takes guts. ACL tear is a killer, can take at least 6 months to fix. Miniscus can take less time, but not just a week. He took one for the team there.

I'm sure he earned some respect in the locker room for that.

Do you think the amount of respect Rivers earned... LT lost?
Three plays and sulking (understandably so) on the sideline behind his bad ass Darth Vader facemask and black-out visor?

I like LT, I think he's a man among boys a lot of the time - this past Sunday though... I don't know what to think of that situation.

I've been on the Rivers bandwagon since last year nfl network practices..that guy has been injured in the playoffs this year and last year..after last years lost he also had surgery..that man has guts to lay it all on the line

Re: Phillip Rivers

LT I've lost respect for because of his thing with the Patriots last year. The Chargers talk more shit than any team in football and he gets upset about a little dance? This year didn't help.

I hate how yappy Rivers is, but takes guts to do what he did.

I've always thought Rivers throws like a girl with his little "push"/"shot put" release, but he definitely changed my overall opinion of him with his toughness on Sunday. Not only did he play, but he played well on a torn ACL.

I think LT is losing respect because he played an unthinkable last season and is only playing a good one this year. This wasnt a good year off the field, he yelled at rivers, was mad at norv, etc.

We do have a tendancy to put players up on a pedastool one year and knock them off into shark infested waters the next!

Fan's suck!!! LOL :benched:
