Meeks to get second interview tuesday, sorry no link
It was just reported on ESPN news, anyone else see that? I'll take Meeks over Fassel anyday

Very interesting. Thanks for the heads up. A little birdie told me that the Redskins flew out to Indianapolis yesterday afternoon so...the plot thickens
But what's the advantage of Meeks over Fassel? |
Re: Meeks to get second interview tuesday, sorry no link
there is none...I'm so numb from all of this...it might just be due to the outrage over fassel...which shows not only does Snyder make poor decisions, but that he has no spine

The timing of this just seems like a smokescreen, but what if Meeks really is the guy?

smokescreen for what? everyone else has a coach, its not like we are hiding who we are going to draft so no one takes that guy. |

He's not going to fly Meeks in for no reason though. They want something from him, but I'm not sold that it's being the next head coach. |
Re: Meeks to get second interview tuesday, sorry no link
Not he best candidate from what I can tell. His resume is not all that impressive, and a 53 its not ike your taking a chance on him dispite his lack of stats because he is a younger guy. We'll see, but Id be very surprised if he was named HC.

It's a cover your ass interview. DS is making it seem like he's giving these other guys a chance, in the end he'll hire Fassel (no surprise here) because he'll say he was the most qualified of all candidates.

Saw it and Meeks over Fassel also

Re: Meeks to get second interview tuesday, sorry no link
Could be one of the "and more" candidates Zorn alluded to...

I mentioned in the "Who do you want now" thread that Meeks would be an excellent long term choice for coach, his resume may not be stellar, but impressive none the less. Wherever he's been as a position coach, the position improved dramatically. Remember when Bobby Bethard was about to hire Joe Gibbs, Mr. Cooke asked him, "Who the hell is Joe Gibbs? A young unknown, with no HC experience who went on to have a HOF career. I don't know what Meeks' chances are of coming here as coach, but he would be an excellent choice, and great for the city of Washington, DC. |
Re: Meeks to get second interview tuesday, sorry no link
I would be very happy with Meeks. Look at the Indy D over the last few years under his tutelage.

I hate to tell you but it won't be Meeks or anyone besides Fassel. Read John Clayton's Link, the hints are there. We are all in denial.
