Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
Say it won't be so.

Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
I thought he signed with the Jags?
|
Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
If he signs with the Cowboys that would give us more reason to go after Spagnuolo.
|
Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
I see zero chance he takes a position coach job. I bet he'd sit out a year before he did that.
|
Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
if he goes to the cowgirls he will know ALL of our defensive weaknesses. especially since we will be running the same defensive scheme. I pray this is not true. He would really try and go after JC every chance he got just to stick it to Snyder's dumb a$$

Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
i think williams can do better than a linebackers coach.

Yep!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't agree with you more!!!!!!!! |
Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
This is not a positive move for him. I'm suprised that more teams haven't been jumping at the chance to pick him up as thier DC. This is the reason we shouldn't have let him go, if he signs with the girls, it will make 2 tough games even tougher.

I would tend to agree. But if that were true, why make the trip and interview at all? Why not just tell your agent to respectfully decline the invitation? Besides, isn't Williams resume' in the 4-3? And Dallas runs the 3-4. Dom Capers was offered this position but has not accepted nor declined the job. Cowboys are just moving forward in trying to fill a vacant coaching position. |
Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
Dont do it Greg!!! I dont really know that he would be willing to take such a step back here. If I were him, after dealing with Snyders crap, I would take a long vacation in some tropical location, and come back into the mix next year when more spots are available. Or, why wouldnt he take the Jags job???

Because in Dallas he knows he would be able to face the team that just spurned him twice a year. The guy was considered a finalist for the Head Coaching position and he gets fired instead? That's gotta sting a bit. But that is the only reason I could see Williams even remotely considering this opportunity. Why do you think Parcells took the job in Miami when he was offered the same position in Atlanta? Because he got spurned by the Patriots, and he is garanteed to face them twice a year. |
Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
If he goes to Dallas then all love is lost IMO ! Fuck him, I understand he got a "Raw Deal" by getting passed over for the HC position but if he leaves for THEM ! To hell with him and his bullshit scheme. I know, he did a lot while he was here, and I loved him while he was here. But if he goes to The Darkside then screw him! That of course is my opinion !

Re: Gregg's talking to the Cowboys
He's not going to coach dallas...he's going there because he hates Snyder. Jones brought him in to "interview" in order to give his dirt on the Skins

Gregg Williams to the Cowboys?
This would be so awful.
Clipped from JLC's Blog: [I]Former Redskins assistant head coach - defense, Gregg Williams, has drawn strong interest from Jacksonville, Dallas and Tennessee - sources said his agent had several lengthy meetings with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in Arizona during the Super Bowl festivities - and Williams could decide on his destination shortly (he would also has one year left on his deal with the Redskins, so the lawyer may have ot get involved to untangle that web as well). Re: Gregg Williams to the Cowboys?
If he signs with them, maybe since he's under contract with us we can get some compensation, as in draft picks.
