JLC: Snyder says Skins likely to play in HOF Game
 

I don't like the fact that it's one extra game where guys can get injured. But it would definitely make HOF weekend a full-fledged Redskins Weekend. It would also be a great opportunity for our new head coach to really embrace Skins tradition. Do we like this?

From JLC's Wednesday Wash Post article:

I got a fever and the only prescription is....more Redskins games!

Seriously though, playing an extra game didn't help us in the long run in 2002 and 2004 but still as a fan I'm never opposed to seeing my team play as soon as possible.

Redskins are 4-0 in HOF games by the way

The last HOF game was both a great game and a horrible one personally for me, I witnessed Sean Taylor intercept 2 passes, and take one to the house, as well as witness Jon Jansen go down to a season ending ACL injury (I think that's what it was). I hope it goes better this season lol.

Any reason to get our boys on the field where I can watch them is a good reason. There should be a "Gentleman's agreement" about injuries though. Kinda like the Pro-Bowl is. But, then again....Sean tore that punter up pretty good. Best hit of that season.

It was a snapped Achilles.

I don't like playing an extra meaningless exhibition game. But with two Skins getting in, it was expected.

With a new HC an extra preseason game isn't a bad thing IMO.

That is awesome. I'm going fer sure b/c we will never see another class like this. Trung Candidate will never make the HOF.

Pre-season sucks generally. Wish we could just take a game off the pre-season schedule if you play in the HOF Game, and probably only need to play 2-3 games anyway, 4-5 is absurd. But then the owners wouldn't get their free money ... so that's not going to change any time soon.

I like this if for no other reason that with a new offensive system, it will be one more game to get the offense in sync before the regular season.

That what I was going to say. New coordinators too, probably a new offense for Campbell...yeah, we need all of the practice we can get.
