Don't worry about King, Prisco & Schein

Here's why we shouldn't worry about the pundits and doomsayers such as; Peter King, Pete Prisco, Adam Schein. Pretty funny stuff.

Amen to that, the only reason I read their predictions is because I know looking back at them later most of them are going to entirely wrong, unless for instance one of them said something weak along the lines of "the Patriots are a good team and they are going to have a good season."

Love it. They should replace Peter King on the HOF selection committee with a toaster oven.

How does Peter King have a job? I mean really. He and Prisco are consistently two of the biggest idiots in sports journalism (It makes me cringe to use the word "journalism" and their names in the same sentence).

I have often wondered the exact same thing. My wife has worked for Knight Ridder News [now McClatchy] for almost twenty five years, and she often refers to various aspects of sports journalism as junkyard reporting, wondering if they have editors at all.

Uh, this isn't exactly accurate. I listen to Schein every day on NFL radio. He constantly said he thought the NFC west would be the closest division, not the best. IE he thought any team could win that division.

LOL some of those are hilarious. Just goes to show that these so called experts are wrong a lot of the time just like everyone else.

Many thanks for directing me back to TMQ, I thought last week's column was the last of the season, forgot about the bad predictions! Damn that one took a long time to read, though, it must have been even longer than normal.

Their predictions are like our coaching predictions, except they are extrapolated over one year's time.

Cowher
Fassel
Marriucci
Fassel
Zorn

Not to worry, the talking heads will have new predictions after the Draft, before TC, after TC, at the start of the season, after week 1,2,3, and so forth, and so on.

LOL, thanks for that. i know these guys' predictions are no more valuable (or accurate) than anyone elses. but its nice to see the proof there in black and white.

i don't mind peter king. but prisco and schein really need to read this. and then, they should both slap EACH OTHER off their high horses.

Look at all the predictions...they are all based on how the teams finished the season before. It's really sad that these jerks get paid so much money yet they can't even do the job they are paid for: to be OBJECTIVE analysts of the sport. Instead they write the easy story: how the saints will be in the superbowl because they went to the NFC championship the year before. It's sad, really.

Yep, and next year I'm sure we'll here lots of New England vs. Green Bay or New England vs. the Giants predictions. Very rarely does anyone go outside the box despite the fact there are always teams that come out of nowhere and teams that were in contention the year before but fail to even make the playoffs the next.

Reminds me of the NFL Network commercial showing fans talking about their teams before the season.

The media get paid for opinions. They don't get paid for not having an opinion. They are not experts, no more than we're experts. It's pretty laughable though to think they know more than any of us.

In fairness, Shannon Sharpe did pick St. Louis for the Super Bowl
