Of course, I'm sure he got his other $3.25 mil up front. Not too bad for a days work. That would draw $65,000 in interest/year even in my 2% apy savings account (not even considering compounding interest). I really need to get someone to give me a couple mil ... |
Re: Santana Moss Restructures
How does it look right now cap-wise?

Re: Santana Moss Restructures
Who the hell do we have in the front office that convinces these players to renegotiate? I am amazed at how year after year we have some smoothe talker in the front office that can do this. If only we can make some better decisions on who we bring in, we'd be set!

As Schneed put it, the renogotiation is a huge win-win for the player nad the organization. The player gets guranteed more money, and gets it the day he restructures. The orginization gets salary cap room to bring in more players. It doesn't take a smooth talker to say "Hey, want more money?" |
Re: Santana Moss Restructures
I love #89 Moss and think he's paid well and fair. I do think we we should sign Randy Moss if at all possible! I know it sounds crazy, but Randy or CJ would help the team out tremendously if OL and DL and CB problem addressed. Which I'm afraid will still be unaddressed. We need OL and DL and DBs (cbs and safeties)!!!

I agree, and if we bring in another big WR he's gonna get more of the football due to less coverage. |

It doesn't take a smooth talker to say "Hey, want more money?"[/QUOTE] Gotta give credit to Eric Schaffer (he even got a thread here dedicated to him) But you know the whole restructuring/clear cap room thing is interesting. I mean I definitely agree with this, but I thought it was interesting that no one has really talked about the whole Larry Fitzgerald situation that went down this weekend. As you know, he/his agent and the Cardinals could not agree on a restructuring to his crazy $15 million 2008 contract and now it's handcuffing them in free agency. I think it was Faneca's agent who said that move (or lack of a move) was the single reason Faneca would not be a Cardinal. |
