Resign The Ade Jimoh - Official Petition Thread

I am putting together a campaign to petition Redskins Managment to bring back the heart and soul of the Redskins team - THE ADE.

I think we can all agree that there was a dark cloud over the team last year when THE ADE was traded to the Bears for undisclosed monetary/giftcard concessions. Week by week, we saw the effects: special teams was flat, Santana was dropping passes, Campbell got injured, our O-Line was in the infirmary, the gatorade tasted watered down, and so on.

There is no disputing the facts: Our defense was 72% more efficient with THE ADE, teamwork was up 120% with THE ADE, morale was was raised from "orange" status to "green, and we witnessed all time highs in overall approval ratings. (Disclaimer - percentages are +/- 3%).

Let's not beat ourselves up. Coach Gibbs made a bad decision to let THE ADE go, and he has been since fired for his poor decision-making. Coach Williams would have taken over as head coach if not for his role in letting THE ADE get away. I think those responsible have been taken care of and it is time to rectify the situation.

Do your part by emailing the following to our Outstanding new Exective Vice President of Football Operations at vcerrato@redskins.com:

Dear Mr. Cerrato,

I, __(Your Name)__________, hereby declare my unquestioned support and devotion to THE ADE. For the good of the team, the fans, the Redskins' legacy and mankind, I respectfully demand that you resign THE ADE to the team, effective immediately. Money is no question, as the success of the upcoming season and future of the franchise hangs in the balance.

Thank you for your time and consideration. Do the right thing!

Sincerely,
(Your Name again)

If Ade Jimoh had recovered the kickoff up in Seattle instead of Anthony Mix it would have counted as a touchdown.

Ade contributed to special teams well. He did not, however, step in at CB well. He wasnt standout on special teams and therefore expendable. Thrash, Mix, Altbright, et all... stood out a little more and Jimoh was the odd man out. Perhaps this thread was a joke, but I just cannot see last seasons woes being blamed on the lack of a CB who never started.

If you really think Thrash lately was a better special teamer than Ade, I think you're nuts. Ade seemed to make half the special team tackles.

That said, I think a lot of people here don't understand "Ade Jimoh Fan Club" yet.

No, I am taking a stand against players that will not develop into solid backups or full time starters. He is a great special teamer. So what, he can't cover a Rod Gardner type runnig a 6 route.

With that being said the "Red snapper" needs to go too.

Whoa whoa whoa don't mess with the red snapper, have you read his letter to John Madden? Unless you want to find various red pubes in your cereal for the rest of your life you should probably retract that statement.

You're joking right? The last thing we need to do is get rid of one of the most consistent performers we have had over the last few years.

I vote yes for Ade. Vet minimum and a Santana Moss autographed jersey.

It is great to see this wonderful support for THE ADE. SC brings up a good point, THE ADE would have won us the Super Bowl last year (I'm paraphrasing...).

For those wondering... THE ADE was signed by the Bears last year. They felt that he was the one, and only, threat to their return man, Devin Hester - and if you can't beat 'em, then secretely pay the Redskins shares of Six Flags stock to keep him from defusing your primary weapon.

By the way, don't let Mr. SmootSmack fool you, he is scared because he knows if the Redskins get THE ADE back, Smoot will obviously be cut and then he'll have to change his user name to a lengthy acronym that will carefully describe Smoot leaving the team, throwing a party with hookers on a boat, coming back to the team and then being cut. Something like: SLTTTAPWHOABCBTTTATBC.
