That is absolutely disgusting

Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
That's really disturbing.
I feel horrible for the people at the scene that tried to help but couldn't do enough to save the kid because this is going to stay with them for the rest of their lives. I can't even imagine how horrible that must be. |
Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
I couldn't get past the first couple of sentences. That just turned my stomach.

Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
I think I'd rather not know that this kind of depravity exists in the world.

Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
did this kind of thing happen 25- 30 years ago? what the hell is the matter with people?

While this kind of atrocity cannot, and should not go unreported, would it not be refreshing to have our media work as hard to report something positive in the news? Maybe put a little "humanity" back in "human" to help offset this............deeply disurbing report |
did this kind of thing happen 25- 30 years ago? what the hell is the matter with people?
Unfortunately, I'm willing to bet that this kind of thing has been happening through the course of human history.
The guy clearly lost his mind for whatever reason, thinking that the kid had demons in him or some BS. I don't think that insanity is anything really new. People have been doing sick shit to one another all throughout history. |
Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
I wonder why the witnesses didn't do more? That may not be a fair question, but if there is a grown man attacking a child, isn't it your moral obligation to put yourself between them?
|
Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
It's easy to second guess now. But given the fact that the cop needed to shoot this guy it tells me that any witnesses may have been in over their heads in trying to subdue this maniac.

That's pretty much the worst thing I've ever read. At least the lunatic is dead. That poor child though... Ugh

Good find. It just seems like you hear less and less of this stuff and more negativity and horror stories from the media these days. I understand drama sells and money is what it's all about, but you just don't hear too many uplifting stories. |
Re: Officer kills man who beat toddler to death near Modesto
The town of Turlock and much of the rest of the nation was shocked when a 27-year-old man beat and stomped his 2-year-old son to death on a rural road. But what was nearly as stunning for many people was that none of the motorists and their passengers who stopped and saw the attack tried to tackle the man.
