Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
Sounds like he'll be fine for the season but still, a little scary for the Colts

Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
I guess this means he's out for the game in Canton, I was really looking forward to seeing him play.

At least I got to see him get his ass kicked by the Skins during a Sunday Night Game a few years back. The other great thing about that game was that they had most of the 70 greatest Redskins on the field at halftime. IT was a fun night. Now all we have to look forward to is seeing our D manhandle that human-bobbblehead Jim Sorgi. |
Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
Did you really think Manning would see the field in Canton?

Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
Colts should trade for Favre now :)

Probably for a series or two, why not? |

Yeah because he's not like Tomlinson who just skips preseason altogether. Manning always takes a couple series in each preseason game as a tune up. I see no reason why the Colts would treat this any differently than normal preseason games. Of course now he'll ride the pine no matter what. |
Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
That's huge news, he's never been injured.

He had his jaw broken against the Fins(?) a few years back. I believe he missed the rest of that game, but he played the next one. So, it depends upon your definition of "injured." If you mean he hasn't missed games, you're correct, if you mean nothing has ever happened to him, that's false. Link |
Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
I would think that the Colts would consider Favre. Definitely not for a conditional 1st.
|
Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
as great as favre is,there is no way he could run that team like payton does.i have always liked payton because he is such a classy person on and off the field.

Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
Favre wants to be the starter, so no way he goes to the Colts. I doubt we would see Manning play in the HOF game, I think it'd be too risky.

With his injury he's definitely not playing. If he was healthy he would be playing. |
Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
I just wonder how much this will affect their timing early in the regular season.
|
Re: Colts without Manning for 6 weeks
I think they've been around long enough that it won't hurt as much as it would say if it was JC that had to miss 6 weeks before the start of the season. Once Peyton comes back it will be a week or two and he'll probably be back to his old self.
