Moss to return punts
 

Jim Zorn announced before the game today that Santana Moss will return some punts.

I'm a little nervous about this, but we need plays from that posistion.

The risk doesn't seem worth it to me. I'd pull ARE off returns too. We just can't afford an injury to either of these guys right now. Especially Moss.

I agree we should just put Thrash, or Tryon not your 2 starting receivers.

I def dont wanna see either of them back there just because of our luck with injuries.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Devin Thomas have experience returning kick/punts in college?

This is too risky...and to make things worse Kelly is inactive today so we can't afford to loose a reciever to injury

Kelly is out and Devin Thomas has experience but, The few times I've seen him try since he's gotten here, it hasnt been pretty.

But really though, I wouldnt mind seeing him back there, anybody but Moss or ARE.

Why not rock? He'll catch the ball, won't turn it over, and get at least a few positive yards.

Why not Trash? I still dont get it. he was great north-south and him getting injured wont be as bad for the O.

I don't think he's returned punts before. It's not quite the same thing as returning kicks. You'd like to have someone back there with some experience.
