Twitter
Anyone else on twitter yet?
I signed up recently and I still can't figure out what it's all about. If someone can enlighten me please do. Twitter: What are you doing? |
Re: Twitter
I don't get it either, but it's soooo popular and I suppose it's not much different than us having a gameday thread. It would be kind of cool if one of us was at a game and Twittered all day for Warpath member exclusively. GTripp, you on it?

Re: Twitter
It's very much like Facebook's "status" where people say what they are up to. It's pretty much people bitching about work or relationships LOL.

And they are probably on their office computer complaining about work. |

Sounds like Twitter is what people do instead of living life. If you're at a game, you should be watching it instead of getting on your cell phone every 5 minutes providing updates you can get on Sportsline for free. |

No I'm talking about stuff you can only see at the game. Like sideline exchanges, pregame stuff, etc. |

OK, I can see that. I stand by my first sentence though ("Sounds like Twitter is what people do instead of living life."). I think social networking has moved passed the "healthy balance" point. People spend more time texting and updating their Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc. than actually interacting with people face-to-face. That's what my  was directed toward. |

No, not really. |

Just messing with ya. On a serious note, other than this site I do not do myspace, facebook, or any of that other crap anymore. I decided about a year ago that it isn't very professional and it can be held against you, regardless of if that type of judgement it is fair or not. |
Re: Twitter
That's a good point - there have been a few articles lately about social networking sites being used as character evidence against people.

Re: Twitter
Twitter seems like a good marketing tool. Anytime you have a new product or service available just post it on your Twitter account. All people who are interested in your product/service, suchas your followers, will be notified without you having to do much work. I am an efficiency of energy supporter.
