Couldn't think of a better messenger. Gary Clark is first class all the way. Interesting, sometimes its the little things from the right person that makes all the difference.

Re: Former Redskins great lit fire under Moss

"i was worrying too much about how I was being used in the offense."

Ironically, i started to get the feeling moss had given up on this team and coaching in that MNF where he was brewing on the bench complaining to CP that we werent calling the plays that we had practiced all week on. CP told him to keep his head up. We all know what happened after that.

I believe moss really did lose focus during the Gibbs era, he just didnt have confidence in the coaches. (even though on paper, a speedy receiver is needed to convert on those long play action passes you spent 3 quarters setting up with the ground n pound).

I said it before the season that moss wasnt 100% dedicated to the skins, but this year with a new coach and system he seems to be back on board and that really helps not just on the field but in the locker room. You cant have marque players being distant or not 110% dedicated. Alot has been said about the positive intangibles that CP being in the weight room during the off-season has brought (even if he did need alil monetary incentive to show up in his reworked K).

Im not saying moss was visibly stewing or making his discontent public, hes a professional 100%, but when a star player isnt fully committed other players notice and it has a lingering detrimental effect. It separates good teams from champions, kinda cheesy disney-esque but i played on some pretty high level teams (not football) and team chemistry starts well before the pads are put on.

sorry for the rant, its just my opinion, glad moss is back on board (if he ever was off it).

go skins!!!

Interesting article and good for Gary Clark. He should be in the HOF no doubt. It's good to see the team buying into Z's offense. I was surprised to hear Tana say he did'nt want to go deep all the time, but it's definitely understandable. He's a lot more than just a deep threat and I'm glad to see more of his talent being utilized. Clark was off the hook when he played. He played with burning desire. It's funny to hear him talk about the super bowl days when he would tell the DB where he was going and to try and stop him. Clark did'nt just TALK trash, he backed it up. The more Tana is used, the better we get. Period.

Gary Clark needs to have a beer with Devin Thomas.

Clark would know about hamstrings, because he would be unable to practice during many a week, yet tough it out on Sunday and make an impact. This can be a statement game - Moss needs to tough it out.

Before I read this article I knew it was Gary Clark. He is my favorite former Redskin of all time. This guy simply hated to lose! This was just the right person to kick Moss in the pants. Solid motivational ploy by Gibbs that went un noticed and is paying off today.

I got to meet Gary Clark a few years ago. I was drunk and ran past him on the street. I told him how much I appreciated his game and he just could not have been nicer. He actually stopped and had some small talk with me.

Speaking of Thomas he really needs to step it up in the 2nd half of this season. It's about time that he started contributing with more than just a catch a game here and there, especially if Moss can't go tonight.

YES. Half the season is over and now it's time for Thomas to start giving us some of what we drafted him for. He's had enough time to at least make some kind of measurable contribution to this team. I think most people, including me, have been easy on him taking into account he's a rookie. But you have to step up sometime and we could sure use him tonight. Man up rookie, lets go.

I'm surprised that most of his receptions have been only the 10 yard variety when he's arguably our 2nd fastest WR.

I don't know him personally) on draft day.
