Bill Parcells has opt-out clause, could walk away from Dolphins
Pretty interesting. Given the heavy fire Vinny & Co are constantly under, I'm sure there will be plenty of speculation about the Tuna.
He's obviously a gigantic upgrade in the personnel department over anything we have, but would Danny dump his racquetball buddy? I doubt it. ESPN - Bill Parcells has opt-out clause, could walk away from Miami Dolphins |

Would Parcells walk away though? I'm sure he could, but I'm not sure he would have any reason to.

Did you read the article? Financially it would be the smart thing to do. When the sale of the Dolphins goes through, his contract states he can opt-out, get the full remaining balance of his $12M deal, and have ZERO attachments to the team. Any team could then sign him and wouldn't have to compensate Miami whatsoever. |

Normally I would say pay the man double and bring him on. But at this point no more change is the best change for the Redskins. IMO But, very interesting!

I don't understand why we even bother to bring this up?
The likelihood Parcells walks away is slim, regardless of financial incentive. The likelihood that Snyder would consider bringing him in is even slimmer. Seems like a pointless discussion. |

I don't think we'll go after him, nor am I suggesting we should. However, it's worth a discussion. Thanks for trying to shit all over it though. Good try. |

parcells will be an excellent addition to the front office for the skins, but i doubt he'll leave the dolphins anytime soon.

Re: Bill Parcells has opt-out clause, could walk away from Dolphins
Parcells is one of the best personnel guys around. He has the coach he wants in Miami and I think for him to leave it would be a strictly financial decision. I don't think he needs the money but..... if his ego tells him to go to different teams and straighten them out...who knows?

I don't understand, why bother to reply if you feel it's a useless thread. Anytime Parcells involved it's BIG news. Unless your new to the NFL. Why don't you start a thread that everyone is interested in. Personally I thought it was a very interesting topic. |

No,Vinny has naked pics of Snyder and Tom Cruise |

You're right, I forgot. Rather than starting this thread, I should have spent my time more wisely- like reading all the quality posts you've made around here over the past month or so... |
Re: Bill Parcells has opt-out clause, could walk away from Dolphins
he would be an idiot not to opt out, and we would be idiots not to consider it. who would you rather have vinny or the tuna?

Re: Bill Parcells has opt-out clause, could walk away from Dolphins
I doubt we could lure him away. I thought one of the reasons he took the job was so he could retire in sunny FL. I thought he wanted to fish with Jimmy Johnson. LOL. He would be a major upgrade for us in the personell dept. not sure if he can pick personell for the WCO though. He definitly would get us better lineman on both sides of the ball.
