theyll all play probably, but it would be great if shockey didnt play, he tears us up, along with most other teams.

Big C....look for Williams to specifically shut #80 down this week. Remember, #36, will go man on man if necessary....should be very interesting.

skinsguy 09-13-2004 04:53 PM

Having Talyor come up and lay a big hit on ol' #80 will make Shockley think twice about playing! Do the Giants have any serious deep threat? If not, I would force Warner to go downfield and not allow the Giants any nickel and dime stuff...

That Guy 09-13-2004 05:35 PM

warner's not too good deep now, toomer may be a deep threat... really they only have good WRs, no great ones (like coles)... tiki's probably the biggest threat.

btw, ol' kenny watson go 1 carry for 25 yards and 2 receptions for 15 yds (9yd, and a 6yd TD catch) in cincy's game (after sitting out all of 2003)... i still think he would have been better than rock for us. sorry, OT, i know.

Daseal 09-13-2004 06:14 PM

As long as Tiki's fumbles aren't ruled down by contact (per the two losses last year) I think we should be able to deal with the Giants.

Big C 09-13-2004 07:12 PM

yeah i was just referring to history, im sure we will have an answer for him

I'll miss seeing Jansen vs Strahan .........Jansen always got the best of Strahan the majority of the time.........

Yeah, me too, but it will be interseting to see how Jones does against him. I'm not worried though, Buges will have him ready (and will give him help from the TE's)....

FS Omar Stoutmire is out for the year

SKINSnCANES 09-16-2004 03:07 AM

Warner played well last week, no pics of fumbles. Look for that to change this week.

Look for Bugel to have Jones and a TE on strahan all game to make up for the loss of jansen.

MTK 09-16-2004 08:32 AM

Their secondary is pretty weak right now, don't be surprised if we see a bit more passing this week and attacking down the field with the WR's.
Do the Giants have any serious deep threat?
Sure - I would consider Toomer a deep threat. He REGULARLY beat Champ like a drum for TD's the past 4 games. The only WR that did "consistently" beat him. Maybe Springs will do a better job on him.

redwagonskins 09-16-2004 11:22 AM

Jones won't be left on an island too many times against Strahan. Yhe difference this year is that there aren't any one on one matchips on the line. How many times were the H-backs, Tight ends and RB's chipping lineman in the last game? it gives our line precious help and leads to no-sack games.

MTK 09-16-2004 11:33 AM

Jones will have plenty of help, and I expect Williams will have some coverage schemes with defending Toomer in mind.
