Redskins Possibly Changing Their Name
 

I was reading a blog the other day that said the Redskins should change their name and that Danial Snyder was strongly considering changing the name but keeping the logo. What do you guys think?

Absolutely not. The only thing I'll accept is "Skins" ... if we change to the Capitols or Senators or something, I'll probably start rooting for someone else.

until I see a link with a quote from a reputable source, I won't believe that snyder's "considering" anything.

this isn't news - just the same old generic story being regurgitated.

That's nice...what is Daniel Snyder considering?

In all seriousness though, many years ago (maybe 7 or 8) Snyder I believe bought the rights to the name Washington Warriors which he was going to use either for his Arena Football team (which never took off) or keep it in his back pocket if he was ever forced to change the team name, and he'd keep the colors and logo. But I haven't heard anything about that in years
