Who would you rather have in round 5 - Cody Glenn or Jamon Meredith/Duke Robinson?
With Jamon Meredith and Duke Robinson both available when the Skins took Cody Glenn in the 5th round if you were the GM of the Skins who would you rather have had - Glenn, Meredith or Robinson? My vote is for Meredith but would have been happier with either him or Duke over Glenn with the Skins 5th round pick.

I don't know much about Meredith and knew Robinson was regarded near the top of a weak OG class but I don't think a 5th round pick is going to make a huge difference to our OL this year.

It is hard to say. The GM of the Skins has access to information that I don't. |
Re: Who would you rather have in round 5 - Cody Glenn or Jamon Meredith/Duke Robinson?
Duke Robinson by a long shot. Cody Glenn was projected as and UDFA and even if he wasn't we still could have gone on without him. Robinson dominated in college and had the size Bugel liked. By most experts accounts he was projected as early as the second round. If you really do take BPA (which ironically the Redskins don't seem to do nearly as often as they say) then Robinson is the pick.
People will say "oh well the scouts know more then you." Aren't these the same scouts that cut these late round picks on a regular basis? And what about the people that provide scouting reports for major draft sites. Did they do less work then the people working for teams? Are these the same scouts that keep on preaching how the draft is a crapshoot? Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if they didn't keep reaching for players. |

Jessica Alba? Hmm Good choice there. I'm not sure who I would have taken. Oh wait, I know, Scarlett Johansson. |

I know, she was a steal in the 5th round. I mean the Raiders took Anne Hathaway with the 7th overall pick, talk about a reach. |

Well you know how much the Redskins wanted to trade up for Jennifer Aniston. There goes Snyder again going after the flashy and expensive acquisition. |

Good thing we stayed put and got Courtney Cox the overshadowed teammate. Just as good and less baggage and less expensive. |

So speaking of terrible threads, check out this story by Florio. Talk about a slow football news day.

Well my mock of this thread was a way to show how terrible I think it is, somehow Florio's non-story made me think of this non-thread. But yeah I've heard people say the same thing, so I know what you are talking about. |
