Re: Redskins June 2009 OTAs
Will the message boards (ES especially) break the internet if Colt is cut and our QB depth chart is Campbell, Collins, Chase? Man, it could get ugly around here.
Yes it would. I highly doubt it happens though. Only thing i could see happening is Collins is let go and the others just slide up a spot on the roster. Collins is getting old and he doesnt have the experience in the WCO that he had in the last system that helped him get a leg up on the others. The way i see it they are all learning a new system so it just depends on which route Zorn wants to go. Does he keep the ol vet or does he go with youth? |

I could see us parting ways with Collins and sticking with Colt as #2, Daniel #3. I think worst case scenario for Chase is practice squad. Question for anyone out there - did we restructure Collins after resigning him to that 3yr $9M deal last offseason? I was looking at the cost to cut him this year on the salary cap spreadsheets (same as keeping him - $2.5M), and it shows him under contract until 2013, with a 6 year deal totaling $13.5M. |

We'd save some kwan cutting Collins.

Actually we wouldn't. He costs exactly as much to keep this year as he does to cut. http://www.thewarpath.net/WarpathRedskinsCap.htm |
