Mike Brown is, arguably, the worst owner in pro sports. But in a way I don't blame him. He was thrust upon the role because of his great father. He just doesn't have the skills to be the owner/general manager/head scout that he has made himself. But he doesn't seem to want to release the team from family control either.

I am not defending him because, as you indicate, he is a terrible owner. But why give up a situation that is such a cash cow for the whole family regardless of the quality of the team? His father cared about football; he only seems to care about money.
