The "Will" linebacker? Is that weak-inside linebacker? I thought that was for a 3-4 defense? Can someone please post the different linebacker designations and what their responsibilities are? Thanks.

Will - Weak Side Linebacker
Mike - Middle Linebacker
Sam- Strong Side Linebacker

That'd be the 4-3 usage of the terminology, I'm not sure how 3-4 does it.

I agree that not only is Rocky the key to the season but the whole linebacker corp is the key. I mean, now that Phat Al is up front and our secondary is, IMO, one of the best in the league, the only spot thats left is the linebackers. Fletcher is the best that we got, Rocky isn't bad he just needs to stay healthy. Hopefully Orakpo gets the job done on the other side. I like H.B. Blades and have high hopes for him in our system I just hope that he doesn't close out the season playing in Rocky's spot...

I thought the picture was Westbrook getting injured. The Eagles' season does depend on if he gets hurt early or later in the season. We know he WILL, it's just a question of WHEN. :D

I really want to see Rocky have a fantastic year, but it's sort of a double edged sword because then he'd be due a big contract/extension and there's a real long-term risk w/ his degenerative knee thing. I don't think he's a guy we ever want to see ourselves upside w/ in terms of salary vs release-fee.

And if Rocky falters again this season hopefully Rob Thomas' career takes an upward swing.
