Close between big Mike and Colt.

Mike Williams

Re: Pimp the poll: Which player is in biggest roster trouble
This was a pretty tough one. I vote Justin Tryon. With just taking Barnes in the third round, you have to think they will keep him. Can we honestly say Tryon is better than Westbrook.
The team invested too much in Devin Thomas. I would think, even as poor as he has been, he will stick for at least one more season. Mike Williams seems to think he will be on the field on 9/13 and indications are he will. That leaves Brennan. I just don't see the Redskins choosing Daniel over Brennan, who has been in the system for a full year. |
Re: Pimp the poll: Which player is in biggest roster trouble
Thomas has at least shown some promise and improvement in camp, he probably doesn't deserve to be on the list.
Tryon will stick one more year, he's got more upside than Westbrook. |

Jason Reid thinks the Skins have invested too much into Big Mike to let him go. Of those listed, i think Brennan is the most in trouble. Unfortunately, I think we're going to be in a situation again this year, where we place several backup OL on our practice squad and they get signed to another teams active roster. As of right now, I think our backup OL will consist of Bridges (T/G), Mike Williams(T), Rinehart(G), and Montgommery(G/C). Investment in MW aside, who would our second backup OT be? Certainly not Rinehart or Montgommery. I wish there was a way to keep Edwin Williams, but it just doesnt look like its in the cards. |
Re: Pimp the poll: Which player is in biggest roster trouble
I don't even think it's close. Brennan by a mile. The others all have too much invested in them to be let go right now.

Colt will be playing for his career as a Redskin against NE Friday night. If he continues to play indisciplined and forces balls that result in a pick or two, he may well be gone. He needs a good performance more than any player on the roster IMO.

Rock is in danger me thinks.

Re: Pimp the poll: Which player is in biggest roster trouble
One player who I think is safe is Reed Doughty, he has been outstanding and Kareem Moore hasn't so far. I hope to keep Moore as I like him, but would not be surprised if he was let go in a shocker move. Renaldo Wynn is the other.

I think they'll keep both Doughty and Moore |

Not to dig up the past but, where are all of those that were calling for JCs head and praying for Colt to start by the 4th game??
I like his as a person, but he is gone. |

[/quote] I'm trying to think of what we've invested in him other than just an opportunity and welcoming; we pretty much did it as a favor to Dockery. |
Re: Pimp the poll: Which player is in biggest roster trouble
I voted M. Williams.. Even though he's like 29 years old and a vet, but is he not eligible for PS? I don't think he has ever been on one before, if so which should makes him to be eligible for it? It might not be an ideal and will be sort of embarrassing for him but I think this would be the best situation for both Redskins and him?
I just don't think we should risk it and sign E. Williams to PS, since Bugel believes that he's doing good.. We lost Crummey to Bengal, who was going to be an replacement for one of our men.. We cannot continue to lose our replacements.. |
