Such a F'd up story for so many reasons. I cannot imagine what her parents are going through. 18 years of thinking their child is probably dead, now they have to deal with knowing their child was a prisoner for 18 years and kept in a backyard like a barn animal by a couple of wackos. Of course I'm sure they are overjoyed she is alive, but it's still a lot to deal with.

He will get it, in prison.I have a buddy who is a prison guard and he says that the inmates -through the good ol inmate grapevine-already know what the new guys are in for when they get there. And if you committed a crime against a woman or especially a child. You are marked for harrassment, beatings and yes, even rape. I guess there is 'honor' even amongst criminals.

Can't say I disagree with them.

I really respect the police cheif who looks like he feels like total shit because they had a call from a neighbor and did not relly follow up to see what was really going on. I think that was like 5 years ago so he knows his departments inaction cause the girl to live like that for another 5 years. I'm sure that going to weigh on him for a long long time.
