I know, but Rino was inactive at least.

Yeah really damn it how did the front office not see this happening. Jansen was old and hurt, Thomas is old & hurt, Samuels is a 10+ year pro, Kendall was also a 10+ year pro. Rabach sucks too what says don't draft o-lineman?

What's crazy is he had no reason to be inactive. Zorn said he hurt his shoulder but that's not what kept him out. He said they just wanted to give Mike Williams a shot at right guard because they liked what they saw in practice.

That's insane. Rinehart is a 3rd round draft pick from last year who has played solid by most accounts the last two weeks (his first two starts ever). And then you just bench him for a converted tackle? Makes no sense to me. Rinehart is not going to get any better and become a solid starter for us if you don't let him play.

What happens in two weeks against the Eagles if Samuels is healthy? Rinehart goes back to the inactive roster? Where's the advantage in that

Skins' offensive line philosophy has been flawed in many respects for 25+ years.

Just like what SmootSmack said.. Also we have Will Montgomery (who was activated for the game) who could play RG as well..

Would have been nice to have a guy like Jeremy Bridges in a time like this - oh wait we did but he was deemed expendable by our great front office when they made final cuts.

IMO Samuels is the one guy we can not afford to lose. I hope Zorn has a game plan with a lot of 7 man protections next week.

How many times have we seen the two TE set Zorn claimed he was going to implement this season?

How does a stinger keep you out, I wonder if this is more serious. Isnt that neck brace Samuels where susposed to prevent stingers? He doesnt have any history of stingers does he?

I've noticed it a no. of times the last 2 weeks. I started to watch Cooley as they started saying he hadn't caught a pass. On the play that Davis got tackled by beason just a yrd. shy of 1st, Cooley was doubled on the other side. Yesterday one or both of those guys had to stay in block.

Re: Samuels Out Next Week

We can't score points with CS in there and we sure won't score without him. Another loss and count down to the bye week. I don't see DS holding on to Zorn past the bye. Every network was discussing the redskins inability to score more than 20 points in the last 12 games we have played. Injuries are not JZ's fault but it goes deeper than that!

I've seen majority runs from that formation that repetitive HB draw play mostly. I haven't seen both Cooley & Davis chip defenders then run out to receive the ball one or both stay in and block.

With Rinehart being inactive for yesterday's game, this move would have been just as appropiate then.

Is Levi Jones still around? He was once a top 10 pick for someone else who didn't really pan out so I'm sure Danny Boy would be willing to break the bank to get him. Can we fire up Redskins1 now or is it currently being "leased out to a private company"?

Mostly because I looked at the roster, and thought: who are we going to keep instead of him.

Good thing we have Mike Williams and D'Anthony Batiste.

I think Jansen & M. Washington's leadership are missed, but both were seriously lacking on the field.

We've seen it but Zorn only calls screens and two yard passes for Davis.

why? he can't pass block anymore. plus he can't even start for det. he's done and the front office made the right move in letting him go.....although i'm not sure the players that were brought in are any better.

Re: Samuels Out Next Week

The OL needed upgrading at the end of last year - - but it really did not get any. Adding Mike Williams and Jeremy Bridges (temporarily) was woefully insufficient.

What Danny Boy needs to do is to identify the people in the organization who thought the OL was good enough to be part of a championship contending team as it stood at the end of the 2008 season and get rid of all of them. If they are coaches, fire them. If they are scouts/personnel people, fire them. If it is the nominal GM, fire him. If it is any of the various team consultants - on the payroll or just informal advisors - fire them.

If it is the owner himself, then fans need to learn to live with it...

Re: Samuels Out Next Week

my OL solution for next year:
Get Jahri Evans of New Orleans or Logan Mankins of NE as our RG, Draft with our first or second round pick a Tackle, and in the later rounds get a center, since centers can be found anywhere in the draft, just like rb's.
