Gano injured?

Gano (foot) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game against the Giants, the Washington Times reports.
Spin:
The Monday night kickoff makes it pretty risky to roll with Gano during the fantasy playoffs. Punter Hunter Smith would fill in if Gano can't kick this week.
was looking around some fantasy info and saw this. first i heard anything about it

Unbelievable. Talk about snakebitten when it comes to kickers. Redskins haven't had a steady kicker in 20 years. Stupid.

 I'd really be concerned about an 18 game season with a 53 man roster.

everyone is hurt this year, but we do seem to have really shitty luck with kickers the past few years

Skins are 1-0 with Yo Gano on the field. Seems like we would miss his deep kickoffs and and longer fg range. But that's just my opinion. Please don't put me on ignore!

I really was just picking at him for putting you on ignore. Thought it was funny, and fairly weak minded to let anyone on a site get under your skin. In full disclosure, I did put one person on ignore once, but then i was always curious what they were saying anyway (differing thoughts do make the web go round right?) so I took him off. Seems like you just don't respond to people who make comments that you want to ignore...

The problem with saying he hasn't been part of the team long enough, is that there is only one FG kicker on a team, so if he can't go the team will necessarily miss him. And since he had a superior performance in his first game, and the fact that Yo Gano means I win, all make me miss him as well.

As for the ad hominem attacks, it was clearly specious so try not to let it get you too worked up ok. It's just web chat.

The reason they were put on ignore was simple. Instead of debating the numbers they started to personalize their debate towards me and started to call me names, and suggesting that I leave the site and join a Cowboy's site. Why would I want to debate anyone who's proceeded that low? All because I personally believe Roy Williams still has pro bowl potential, despite his horrendous stint with the Cowboys. And most of their comments towards me during that debate were extremely un-polite and downright disrespectful.

I use to at least have some respect for your opinion. But to possibly lose your FG kicker and say who cares? Your lack of understanding of football explains a good deal of your posts.

i never once called you a name i saw your sig this morning and jokingly said you should join a cowboys board you then put me on ignore and replied with this lovely pm "Fuck you bitch, I aint going no where. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA"

no one last night was disrespectful except for maybe someone saying what are you smoking, and i don't beleive anyone called you a name, but based on the way you blindly defended roy williams without listening to any rational thoughts i should have expected nothing less than your actions this morning

You know what's annoying, if someone quotes someone who you have on ignore, then you still see the ignored person's quotes. It like short circuits the ignore function''s purpose, because then you would have to put everyone on ignore just to not see opinions that might offend you.

I find this hilarious. While I wasn't part of the debate, merely a bystander, I thought the argument that you were making was very weak, and everyone who was arguing against you were pretty much correct. You set yourself up to attacks when you start being unreasonable around here.

For instance, let's look at the argument that you are making on this thread...Gano won't be missed, he hasn't been on the team that long.

You are right that he hasn't been on the team that long however...

- He's the only kicker.
- He came through with some kicks during the last game and was doing a very good job with kickoffs.
- If he can't play, the team will need to get a new kicker, once again.

So it is a pretty big deal that he is not playing, especially since our team typically doesn't score many points or puts itself in situation were kicks are very important (i.e. New Orleans game).

i'm not sure but folk is as good as gone. he's got a serious case of the yips. they were showing his warm up kick before the game and he missed almost all of his practice kicks.....and sure enough he shanked a 24 yarder to seal the game. he's as good as gone.

He was origionally signed by the Steelers in 2005 as an undrafted FA from BG, He was later signed by the Cowboys who eventually released him and we picked him up. Kickers usually make their rounds before they find a home.
