Florida fires Zook
You think the Ol Ball Coach got a phone call????

yup
|
This is definitely setting up nicely for him, who wants to bet the Florida alumni are pushing hard for Spurrier's return next year?
They'll stick someone in for the interim and get the ball coach back where he belongs soon after their season ends. |
You know if he does come back it's gonna be just like when Gibbs came back here. Spurrier is God in Gainesville.
|
If Spurrier goes back to FLA they will become my favorite College team, I hope he has success wherever he goes.
|
So Zook gets canned but he has to finish out the year?
And Florida says it has nothing to do with Spurrier, yeah right! |

I saw Spurrier on ESPN Sports Center and although he did not say he was coming back he made it sound that when the dust settles he will make it official.
GO GATORS!!! |
He said he's not going to talk with anyone right now, because every team still has a coach in charge of the team for now. He doesn't feel its right to be discussing a job that someone else is occupying right now.
|
I saw Spurrier's comments, right now he's doing the right thing and keeping quiet.
I'm sure he wants to go back and I can't see a reason why both sides won't make it happen. |

he sure seemed awfully happy when he was saying "no comment" in those interviews...
I honestly think he can be a good coach, but in his stay with us, he had a horrible supporting staff and a piss poor work ethic/player management skills... |
Spurrier will go to the NFL. If given the proper support by the organization and actually gets some experienced guys on his helm, he'll do fine.
Imagine him in Miami. Trade Ricky Williams for a solid QB, or use the #1 for that and trade Ricky for other things. Get O line help, leave the defense completely alone. Imagine Chambers, Booker, Boston, and McMichael darting all over the field. With a few tweaks to his system that could be one of the nastiest offenses the league has ever seen. 4 pro-bowl players receiving (yes, one's a TE, and a marvelous one!) |
man they need a QB/RB bad... real bad...
|
Lamar Gordon could be a good RB if they opened some holes.
